Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Pre-sales technical support for customer account engagements including the development of documentation/best practices and training to ensure a high-quality design and minimal post sales technical support issues. Pre- and post-sales management of technical account engagements as a key member of the sales team to ensure that comprehensive design, installation, and operational plans are developed and communicated to drive successful ESS solution adoption and ongoing business growth and loyalty. Pre-sales technical support for utility scale and commercial business and projects/deals and customized/unique design support to ensure Gotion design win and high-quality designs that save our customers capital and labor costs. Strong engagement and feedback/input to Research and Development and Product Management teams on identified product/technical issues along with recommendations for product improvements. Ability to lead product management and development of broad-based market training and tools that address best practices and requirements (e.g. standard and technical business tools). Coordination of field testing and feedback collection for new hardware and software. Close cooperation and alignment with Customer Support to enable a closed loop system on key/top technical and product related issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, especially with top area installer accounts. Lead engagement with customers on application of ESS systems and with evaluation and teaming with partners for balance of system equipment providers, software/EMS integration, and EPC. Development of technical documentation to support portfolio of ESS products including technical specifications, manuals, safety certifications, and technical diligence proposals. Required Qualifications: Working with the Sales Managers to deliver the highest level of quality field/customer technical support, enabling account and project wins and ensuring highest levels of customer support. Working closely with sales team to determine appropriate prioritization of account/project opportunities relative to available technical resources and ensure close coordination and communication with the customer. Leading and managing tasks in the technical pipeline to ensure that all identified/qualified projects get the proper and appropriate level of pre-sales design and technical support. Working with China based R&D, design and pre-sales technical support process to ensure proactive participation with technical teams on test requirements, procedures, and plans to ensure ESS products are prepared and positioned to 'win' the business. • Support and optimize data connectivity to factory machines

The primary accountabilities for this position are to manage new designs in development processes. Responsibilities include all phases from receiving the customer's files, project planning and design review, Flex part construction & material selection, oversight and coordination of manufacturing, test, and assembly processes and NPI build schedules. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly or through team members, the application engineer has the following responsibilities: Involvement at Early Supplier Involvement (ESI). Review Design documents. Interpret the customer's requirements in accordance with M-Flex processes and capabilities. Propose deviations from initial customer requirements in order to ensure manufacturability at a profitable yield. Select proper material and prepare part construction per customer's requirement for Flex fabrication Support Quote preparation activity including panelization, material selection and part construction, Bill of Material Communicate DR/DFM items with customers and factory and follow up to resolve open DR/DFM items Ensuring all preliminary data and information necessary from initiation through completion of the project. This includes electronic data (Gerber, DXF, AutoCAD, etc.), fabrication prints, quotation analysis, and preliminary correspondence with customers. Analyze the nature of the application, the special requirements, tolerances, materials and components, and decide optimum fabrication methods and process flow. Maintain close communication with customers during the design stages. Discuss design and process alternatives in order to improve quality and reduce cost. Work with customer and factory for project planning and scheduling for NPI builds Communicate Technical information and NPI build schedule to customer Meet customer as needed to explain Technical items and resolve open issues, build customer relationship Submit NPI build and Quality reports to customer per their requirement Involve in Quality issues, work with factory team for failure analysis and communicate to customer Responsible for managing and coordinating the production readiness process by: optimum tool design (DFM) and implementation; provide technical support during all prototype and pre-production stages; track QC and yield reports ensure all manufacturing requests are being processed quickly and with minimum impact on the schedule. Coordinate all life cycle activities associated with the project: Test fixtures and programs - coordinate with test engineers Assembly tools - coordinate with the assembly house and the responsible engineers Initiate and manage changes in procedures and manufacturing process. Check and approve design packages. Monitor cost data and ensure the quoted factors are met through production. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES: Knowledge of AutoCAD and ECAM software applications. Ability to read component data sheets, electronic schematics and fabrication drawings. Ability to generate FPCB fabrication flow chart and BOM based on a customer supplied fabrication print. Position requires traveling (International travel 25%). Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Application Engineer (AE) with a solid background in electronics engineering, SW development and hands-on experience in testing digital/highspeed digital devices. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), specifically utilizing Advantest's V93000 hardware and SmarTest 8 software. This role will be critical in developing, implementing, and optimizing test solutions for next-generation high performance computing devices.

Responsibilities include:

- Provide technical leadership and support in the sales and support of V93000 Semiconductor Test Systems and Applications for Advantest customers and their partners.

- Strong problem solver with good technical capabilities, good communication skill, self-motivated, customer focus and result oriented

- Focus during varies of the sales process range from: including requirements analysis, feature demonstrations, benchmarks, competitive positioning, and implementation and execution.

- Ensures the Advantest products function per specifications.

- Integrates Advantest products and services (at the system/solutions level) into customer's environment.

- Perform analysis of complex IC manufacturer customer requirements providing expertise on topics such as: Performance, Design, Utilization, Optimization, test program development/conversions and Implementation Strategies.

- Accountable for the design, scoping, and technical validity of the solution to achieve the customer's business objectives.

- Identifies Advantest and Non-Advantest resources required to deliver customer solutions and tracks and manages the committed deliverables.

- Keeps global technical peers informed of new and emerging technologies and information in their business segment.

- Through expertise based value creation, candidate becomes integral to the customer's business processes and establishes influence on the customer's decision process and business outcomes.

- Create project plans for complex projects and track project completion.

- Represents customer's needs of their assigned business segment to field and factory.

- Technologies range from digital and high-speed SoC technologies.

- Create and deliver customer training classes and consultation materials

- Expect a minimum of 20% travel to various customer and Advantest sites (sometimes in short notice)

• Working proficiency using visual studio, C#, Net, databases and use of SQL? as mandatory Familiar with SECS/GEM protocol and SEMI automation standards
• Experience working in semiconductor or Solar or Display or PCB manufacturing as equipment automation developer is required.
• Experience working with other factory automation and business systems such as MES, Recipe Management (RMS), and Advanced Process Control (APC)
• Implement Equipment Automation (EA) solution, integrated with other key factory and business systems, for our customers Work with product development team to develop new solutions and products with to address market demands Coordinate with customer's systems administration and IT teams on deploying, configuring, developing and deploying EA solutions.
• Present technical information to customers including technical contributors and managers.
• Create, evolve and implement EA application training and/or demonstrations Project management tasks in accordance with APG standard PM lifecycle Perform software installations at customer locations

  • Respond to customer requests for proposal (RFP) and requirements collection Develop and deliver statements of work (SOW) and cost estimates for projects
• Improve operations through continuous improvement standards such as: 8D, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5-Whys.

• Experience working in semiconductor or Solar or Display or PCB manufacturing as equipment automation developer is required
