**Salary/Pay Range** : $1,020 per credit hour. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.
This position has been determined to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
**Work Location** : Determined by course modality: On-campus, online, or hybrid. Remote teaching opportunities may be available under certain conditions.
**Summary**
The College of Letters, Arts, and Science (LAS) at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers in Visual Arts from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure track positions will be made. Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and will be made semester-by-semester.
The position is responsible for teaching various courses for Visual Arts; however, exact courses taught will depend on need at the time of hire The courses may be in person or online.

The Art and Art History program in the School of Visual, Performing and Design Arts invites applications for one or more fixed-term, non-tenure-track full/part-time Instructor positions to teach on a term-by-term basis for the 2025/2026 academic year.

**Summary**
The College of Letters, Arts, and Science (LAS) at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers in Visual and Performing Arts Department from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure track positions will be made. Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and will be made semester-by-semester.
The position is responsible for teaching various courses for Visual and Performing Arts; however, exact courses taught will depend on need at the time of hire The courses may be in person or online.

Function of Position:

To give students experience in all aspects of what it takes to run an art gallery, from deciding on an artist, to how the works will best be displayed to capture the artists vision to packing up the show. Also to be stewards of the exhibits to make sure nothing is damaged in anyway, as well as learning about the current artist(s) to answer questions gallery visitors might have.

This is a Federal Work Study position. Eligible applicants MUST have received prior approval from the Financial Aid Office. If you are unsure of your eligibility, please contact Financial Aid before applying.

Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist with the set up and performance of campus events. Assist with the installation and de-installation of artwork. To welcome visitors to the gallery (open to the public). Answer phones. Light cleaning and clerical work. To help maintain the gallery as a clean and safe facility. Students will learn how to install various types of artworks, while assisting in the installation and deinstallation of exhibits both in and Gallery and around campus. They will learn how to prep the site for the next exhibit, such as fill holes and paint. They will also assist the Gallery Director with the layout of the shows to create a setting that best displays artists' works, as well as document and label artworks as well.
