Role Description:

Arcadis is seeking an Architectural and Engineering Senior Design Manager to join our Design Management team in Greenville, South Carolina, working on Automotive & Manufacturing related projects for our international clients. This role can be home-based; however, you must live within commutable distance from our Greenville offices.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Coordinating with internal and external architects, engineers, designers, consultants, and managers to align strategic objectives and progress.
  • Spearheading strategic pursuits, creating winning delivery strategies, and fee projections to achieve financial targets of the business.
  • Taking responsibility for financial and project management controls which enable monitoring, modification, and forecasting as appropriate.
  • Managing the acquisition, deployment, and optimization of resources for the project.
  • Driving timely service delivery including technical and commercial outcomes and undertaking reviews, ensuring delivery is above client expectation.
  • Effectively implementing design delivery best practice including risk and change management, project set-up, and planning using internal and external digital technologies.
  • Able to quickly understand specified project scopes and develop project plans of execution for a variety of Design and Engineering service deliveries.
  • Ability to effectively deliver client presentations, prepare written reports, and communicate technical concepts, specifically around scoping requirements and risk.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience leading large multi-discipline design engineered solutions and construction projects.
  • Proven financial background related to projects and client management.
  • Experience working with projects that utilize fundamental knowledge of Autodesk Platforms: Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or Building Information Modelling (BIM) engineered solutions.
  • Obtain Certified Project Management (CPM) certification status within 30 days of hire. Company-provided training with employment.
  • BA in Architecture or Engineering related fields focused on the built environment.
  • Preferred certifications: (PE, RA, PMP).
  • Automotive or Manufacturing project experience is highly desired.

- Perform in-plant trials and prove-out associated with engineering concerns, MCR actions, alerts and PSOs.
- Support GSPAS, PFMEA and control plan updates, delta audits, GERT investigations, ECN maintenance, change control and VME initiatives tied to current model programs
- Provide support for containment on stop ships
- Assist with incoming quality
- Support daily quality meetings, weekly regional meetings, plant VQRs, and warranty binning meetings
- Support corporate labor initiatives
**Experience Required:**
You'll have:
- Bachelor's degree (Engineering Based Preferred)
- Experience in Automotive Manufacturing Engineering
- Experience w/automotive assembly tooling, processes, and facilities
- Experience with Error proofing, vision equipment and fastening technologies.

Skills:

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, daily production needs for the logistics business unit, with the largest amount of time being dedicated to new model year launch,•Engagement in Daily Management system (CBS) ,Collaborate with members of the logistics team to identify gaps to achieve area metrics,Execute Continuous Improvement activities related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, & Productivity ,Engage with safety dept, maintenance, tool room, or external vendors to support improvements,Kaizen,ME support in various stages of Build along with shop floor co-ordination,Co-ordination for Engineering Change Management (ECO) and implementation support, updating systems for delivery methods,Support Validation of Kitting logic (Time, BOM Consumption, Model Option),MS acess and other CAD tool.

The scope is for a Logistics Engineer (LE) to perform the following activities for CNH New Holland facility
Support the LE activities at CNH New Holland
•The position will support daily production needs for the logistics business unit, with the largest amount of time being dedicated to the new model year launch.
•Engagement in Daily Management system (CBS)
•Collaborate with members of the logistics team to identify gaps to achieve area metrics.
•Execute Continuous Improvement activities related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, & Productivity
•Engage with safety dept, maintenance, tool room, or external vendors to support improvements.
•Follow up on implemented solutions to confirm effectiveness.
•Support necessary line balancing activities, including time studies and work instruction updates as needed.
•Participate in kaizen events related to logistics as identified.
•Facilitate creation of operator instructions and work aids
•Provide ME support in various stages of Build along with shop floor co-ordination.
•Co-ordination for Engineering Change Management (ECO) and implementation support, updating systems for delivery methods.
•Support Validation of Kitting logic (Time, BOM Consumption, Model Option)
•Support packaging requirements making changes as needed
•Manage kitting system and generate kit sheets
•Background in Microsoft Access is preferred
•Other duties as assigned

BE in Engineering - Manufacturing or Production or operations; More advanced degrees are a plus but not required

Compensation: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

The main function of a project engineer is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities across engineering-based projects. A typical project engineer is responsible for project design, scope management, cost control, quality, and performance reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.

• Develop, track and manage project budget, project plans, timelines, and scope.

• Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.

• May recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.

• Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.

• Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching, and advising

• Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.

• PMI or PMP certification preferred.

• 5-7 years of experience required.
