POSITION OVERVIEW SECTION
Apply principles of psychology to human resources, administration, management, sales, and marketing problems. Activities may include policy planning; employee testing and selection, training, and development; and organizational development and analysis. May work with management to organize the work setting to improve worker productivity.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist the Principal Investigator in identifying instrumentation that best supports measurement of basic aviation skills and abilities, developing and executing a data collection plan that provides concurrent validation of potential instrumentation, and writing technical reports/briefings to describe progress and outcomes of the work.
- Work closely with Air Education and Training command (Airman Development Command) pilot training instructor pilots and curriculum developers to understand skills and abilities required to be a successful pilot to then apply to the Air Force enlisted and officer aviation classification processes.
Qualifications
Minimum Position Requirements
- Have knowledge in general cognitive psychology and aviation with at least an MS degree in a science, technical, or engineering field. The Contractor shall be able to perform at least Journeyman level responsibilities, for the below tasks, and may be able to provide SME level responsibilities and duties.
- Possess knowledge in perceptual processes and display design
- Possess knowledge in attention and working memory
- Possess knowledge in skill development and transfer of training
- Possess knowledge in decision-making processes
- Possess knowledge in stress and mental workload

Position Summary:
Applied Training Solutions, LLC is seeking a qualified Aviation Mission Support Analyst to coordinate aviation missions with partner agencies and the airspace coordinator. This role will support the planning, coordination, and real-time execution of aviation operations in an emergency response setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate aviation missions with partner agencies and the airspace coordinator
* Support the planning and scheduling of aviation assets for emergency operations
* Ensure airspace coordination requirements are integrated into mission planning
* Communicate mission details with flight crews, airspace coordinators, and ground teams
* Assist with documentation and dissemination of mission assignments and updates
* Monitor active missions and provide support as needed during execution
* Contribute to mission debriefings and data analysis for improvement opportunities
* Ensure compliance with aviation and operational safety standards
* Track aviation resource availability and provide situational updates to leadership
Basic Qualifications:
* 3+ years of experience in aviation mission support, planning, or coordination
* Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple agencies and stakeholders

Working Environment:

The Aviation Coordinator manages all pilot-related administrative and regulatory functions across the aviation department. This position oversees and maintains compliance with Federal Aviation Administration, (FAA) documentation standards and serves as the organization's primary point of contact with the FAA Pilot Records Database (PRD). It manages all pilot onboarding, records management, training schedules, and travel logistics are executed accurately and in accordance with federal and organizational requirements. This role works closely with aviation leadership and plays a vital part in sustaining the department's operational compliance, regulatory readiness, and overall efficiency.
**Essential Fu** **nctions**
+ Manages the onboarding process for all new pilots, ensuring documentation, background verifications, and credentialing meet company and FAA standards.
+ Processes, maintains and audits all pilot records to ensure continuous accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
+ Serves as the primary point of contact with the FAA Pilot Records Database (PRD) and oversees timely, accurate submissions and updates.
+ Works with the Director of Operations, Chief Pilots, and Med Transport leaders to report on recordkeeping, compliance status, and onboarding progress.
+ Maintains readiness for internal and external audits by ensuring that all documentation, submissions, and records are current and properly organized.
+ Supports the development and continuous improvement of aviation administrative procedures, contributing to departmental efficiency and regulatory alignment.
+ Coordinates training logistics, including scheduling of required courses, conferences, and certifications for pilots and aviation staff
