**What role you will play in our team**
The Customer & Applications Development Engineer will help drive adoption of ExxonMobil commercial and developmental Li-ion battery anode products in the Electric Vehicle Value Chain by engaging technical market interfaces and leading application development for ExxonMobil carbon anode products. Regular interaction with various market sources and developing insights for ExxonMobil product competitive advantage will be a significant component of the role. Finally, the role will deliver technical support at customer locations as needed to ensure ExxonMobil products perform as marketed. The position is based at ExxonMobil's Main Campus in Spring, Texas.
**What you will do**
+ Represent ExxonMobil in interactions with customers, business and development partners, brand owners, OEMs, industry associations / forums, and select academia.
+ Address potential customer inquiries and articulate values of performance products
+ Work with customers to identify sources of value for ExxonMobil products in customer systems; understand relationship between customer specs and their Anode Material / Cell performance targets.
+ Lead the technical interface for product testing / trials at Value Chain customers
+ Ensure Value Chain requirements for anode products processing and performance is met via feedback and close interaction with product development
+ Develop advantaged market solutions to ensure maximum value capturing (ViU Focus) of the new developments in close cooperation with Sales and Marketing
+ Design and execute independent workplans to achieve customer and Sales/Marketing objectives.
**About you**
**Minimum Skills and Qualifications**
+ B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Electrochemistry or Chemical Engineering
+ 5+ years working experience in commercial scale cell and/or battery assembly and testing.
+ Experience in design and development of batteries/cell (ideally lithium-ion cells).
+ Development and testing experience of anode and battery materials via fabrication of coin, pouch cells, cell testing, and electrochemical data analysis.
+ Experience with leading automobile battery makers and/or OEMs.preferred.
+ Familiarity with lithium-ion battery materials supply chain players.
+ Hands-on experience with developing technical specifications for components and assemblies.
**Preferred Knowledge and Skills**
+ Strong understanding of carbon anode materials and their attributes' impact on performance in li-ion battery systems
+ Demonstrated knowledge of lithium-ion battery components, construction, testing & operation, and the resulting impacts on anode performance. Expertise and success in design and development of components and assemblies for lithium-ion batteries.
+ Ability to influence without authority and leverage resources from multiple organizations.
+ Effective at collaboration and networking; Results oriented with bias for action.

A leading Automotive Supplier client is looking for a Systems Design Engineer in the Southfield, MI area to join their Body Electronics, Systems Engineering team. This Engineer will be responsible for analyzing system requirements which come from customer (OEM), attending meetings with the customer to refine and define system requirements, and create the system specifications for the product. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for Functional Safety requirements as well as implementing ASPICE process through the design for these body electronics products previous experience with ASPICE and FuSa (ISO 26262) is highly desired. Position Overview:
System One is seeking a highly capable and motivated System Design Engineer, Fluid Systems who reports to the System Design Manager and is focused on system design, analysis, systems engineering, and engineering oversight. In this role, you will act as a system design engineer for advanced nuclear reactor projects. The successful candidate will integrate and coordinate with engineers working on interfacing systems. The System Design Engineer will work as part of a high-performing team of engineers and scientists.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
+ Design of fluid systems from development of requirements through final design and commissioning.
+ Perform technical trade studies and decisions to refine system design.
+ Oversee suppliers during development and fabrication of gas processing, filtration, and monitoring equipment.
+ Review component designs in the context of the greater system design to determine how detailed design of components impacts the greater system.
+ Prepare system level engineering documentation including technical specifications and operations narratives.
+ Review system documentation to anticipate and resolve system and plant level integration issues before they are realized.
+ Support design reviews as system designs are established and refined.
+ Develop and review technical design documents, such as System Design Descriptions, Interface Control Documents, Engineering Design Specifications, etc.
+ Generate design packages for system designs including coordinating of calculations, design reports, drawings, and specifications.
+ Interface with the design team to create and manage drawing packages of system designs, including but not limited to Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), 3D models, and system interface drawings.
+ Interface with various design disciplines (such as mechanical, instrumentation and controls, civil, and nuclear) to identify and develop system design and performance criteria.
+ Propose and initiate testing programs for system development and qualification.
+ Provide support and oversight during test execution, evaluation of test results, and reporting of test results.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
+ B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university and 5+ years direct experience with proven mechanical systems skills.
+ Experience with piping systems and the ability to read and draw P&IDs.
+ Experience working with suppliers in development and fabrication of safety-related equipment.
+ Strong understanding of design codes (ASME, BPVC, API).
+ Familiar with safety classifications of systems, structures, and components.
