# Project Overview:
Bechtel Equipment Operations, Inc. (BEO), a wholly owned Bechtel affiliate company, functions as the construction equipment asset manager of Bechtel Group and is actively engaged in projects across all of Bechtel's business lines. In support of its involvement, BEO uses sophisticated estimating and scheduling systems to assist projects in developing bid proposals, equipment lease versus purchase analysis, tool and consumable utilization forecasts, scaffold estimating and supply, and overall construction fleet utilization plans. Headquartered in Sugar Land, Texas, BEO also manages several permanent global equipment storage and support facilities.
# Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant for Bechtel Equipment Operations, Inc. (BEO) reports directly to the BEO Support Services Manager, and will also provide support to and receive direction from the BEO management team?This position performs a variety of administrative and facilities functions for the BEO Sugar Land office. #LI-SNH
# Major Responsibilities:
+ Perform a variety of administrative duties of either a general or a specialized nature through research, analysis, and coordination with other functions and disciplines.
+ Coordinate special activities and programs with manager's input and approval.
+ Receives and screens phone calls and visitors and directs them to the appropriate person.
+ Collects, reviews, and distributes incoming hard copy mail and prepares outgoing mail to ensure accuracy.
+ Coordinates meetings, arranging for facilities, equipment, and refreshments?
+ Organizes material for meetings and presentations by preparing and?distributing?notices, agendas, information packets, and minutes. Independently manages calendars and coordinates complex travel arrangements for the responsible managers, if applicable?
+ Prepares itineraries and completes expense reports when required.
+ Maintains BEO Outlook distribution lists and BEO phone list.
+ Acts as a facilities coordinator?responsible for the day-to-day delivery of?a variety of office services functions such as food services, reception duties, printing services, communications, mail, space allocation, office supplies, furniture and equipment and miscellaneous services?
+ Keeps reproductive equipment (copiers) serviced, order supplies, fill paper/toner.
+ Manages office supplies and maintains inventory (purchase as needed).
+ Administers the BEO conference rooms scheduling, order catering, if applicable.
+ Coordinates office moves, adds and changes, and works with Procurement on office needs.
+ Provides input and assists with the compliance of ES&H Core Processes for Office Facilities.
+ Coordinates all first aid related items including (but not limited to) the maintenance of first aid kits and AED supplies and checks.
# Education and Experience Requirements:
+ Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and five years of related administrative experience supporting executive management is preferred.
+ Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.

# Project Overview:
Thacker Pass is the largest known lithium resource in the United States. Once complete, the mine and processing facilities will produce more lithium carbonate than any other facility in the United States by far enough to power 1 million electric vehicles per year.
As the EPCM contractor for Lithium Americas, Bechtel is responsible for managing and integrating the efforts of a team contractors engineering and building the facility. We are also managing procurement of about 1 Billion in goods and services.
Earth work began in 2023 and design and procurement of long-lead equipment is underway.
The project is located in the high desert and wide-open spaces of north-central Nevada about 25 miles from the Oregon border, 1 hour northwest of Winnemucca, Nevada and 3 hours northeast of Reno.
Planned with sustainability and the environment in mind, the facility will use its excess process heat to generate electricity and will recycle process water up to seven times. Once the second phase of the project is complete, Thacker Pass will produce more than 16 times the current U.S. output of lithium.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) Team, focusing on the design and engineering of critical infrastructure.

Civil Engineering Specialist Primary Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to the Navigation Engineering Center in developing project engineering packages.
Prepare summary trip reports within two working days of trip completion.
Compile and finalize project documentation.
Offer engineering support for new construction and renovation projects by evaluating shop drawings, design proposals, and ensuring adherence to contract documents.
Participate in Joint Acceptance Inspections (JAI) and Contractor Acceptance Inspections (CAI) for assigned projects, providing recommendations for resolution.
Conduct engineering studies to assess feasibility and perform cost-benefit analyses.
Advise the Government Technical Interpreter on planning, budgeting, programming, and coordinating engineering project development.
Develop project drawings following FAA standards and guidelines.
Civil Engineering Specialist Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree and 4 years of relevant experience OR a Master's Degree and 2 years of relevant experience in Project Engineering and/or Resident Engineering, specifically in Civil Engineering Design with expertise in tower, shelter, and similar structure projects.
Familiarity with various Unstaffed Infrastructure Sustainment (UIS) facilities, including metal equipment towers, commercial/industrial structures, roof replacements, emergency power systems, and more.
