**Responsibilities**
+ Contributes to the development of comprehensive benefits strategy that supports business objectives and enhances employee satisfaction, partnering with HR and business leaders to seamlessly integrate total rewards into broader strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment and cohesion
+ Develops proposals for plan changes (including proposals for union negotiations), including supporting materials on prevalence, benchmark/survey data and short and long-term financial implications
+ Develops and monitors healthcare benefits financial metrics relative to plan budget. Validates vendor invoices for accuracy and questions any that are outside thenorm. Ensures plan offsets, rebates and credits are accurately reflected; notes variances and explanations
+ Participates in identifying best practices and implements changes to streamline the administration of all health and welfare benefit plans requiring consultation with, and/or the management of consultants, vendors, and other internal departments
+ Designs employee experience efforts and helps support benefit change management programs
+ Assists in managing the outsourced vendor by participating in ongoing calls, call calibrations, SOW reviews and scorecard evaluations
+ Remains abreast of legislative changes and industry best practices to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to benefits
+ Serves as the project manager or supports implemention of large scale, complex, high dollar health and welfare projects such as RFP/selection of new plan vendors. Includes review of business requirement documents, related processes and communications
+ Serves as the Company's HIPAA Privacy Official
+ A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Ten or more years of experience in benefits administration.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelors' degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a Finance-related field
+ Five or more years of experience with health and welfare plans, including analyzing plan design, managing vendor relationships, and interpreting relevant regulations
+ Experience with the financial management of health and welfare plans and related trusts
+ Advanced capability with data analysis and financial reporting experience supporting union negotiations and developing plan proposals
+ Experience leading or managing large-scale benefits projects, including RFPs and vendor implementations
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong attention to detail
+ Strong analytical and organizational skills with a high level of initiative
+ Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation or other relevant benefits-related certification

Job Description: The Human Resources Intern contributes to ONC's mission of providing nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solutions by completing essential tasks on the Human Resources team. The HR intern is responsible for gathering information to craft role descriptions, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, onboarding new interns, maintaining internal paperwork, and assisting with offboarding. The HR intern will also have opportunities to participate in other HR-related tasks and projects within the HR department based on their interests. Human Resources ManagerPosition Overview:

The Human Resources Manager plays a key role in overseeing various HR functions, including talent management, recruitment, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, compliance, training, and policy development. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders to enhance HR programs, drive efficiency, and cultivate a culture rooted in respect, inclusion, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support HR processes by organizing workflows, optimizing efficiency, and driving continuous improvements.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, including vendors and contractors.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between employees and leadership, ensuring alignment with business goals, values, and company culture.
  • Oversee talent acquisition, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interview coordination, employment offers, pre-employment screenings, and onboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with HR regulations and company policies within assigned regions.
  • Provide strategic HR guidance to senior leadership on workforce planning, employee relations, and organizational development.
  • Handle employee relations matters, including coaching, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees, offering support on HR-related concerns while driving positive workplace experiences.
  • Contribute to HR initiatives and projects, collaborating with team members to implement best practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and track key HR metrics for reporting purposes.
  • Occasionally travel as needed, requiring valid identification and insurance.
  • Promote workplace safety and operational excellence.
  • Manage and develop HR team members, fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Actively contribute to elevating HR practices, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 15 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with at least two HRIS platforms.
  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a high level of discretion.
  • Demonstrates integrity, accountability, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of work.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Background in mergers and acquisitions.
  • Advanced education beyond a bachelor's degree.
  • HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.

Key areas of focus include talent management, recruitment & retention, employee relations, compensation, training and development, HRIS, and oversight of employee services such as benefits for assigned areas, either personally or through the respective HR team. The geographic scope of this position is Bonndorf (BU Headquarters), Donaueschingen in Germany and operations in Italy, Serbia, Czech Republic, China and USA. What you will do: Support BUM and functional peers to formulate and drive HR strategies, optimizing organizational structure to support the development of an engaged, high-performing workforce that meets the sustainable requirements of the company's business growth Drive organizational changes as needed to enhance agility and align with strategic goals. Lead culture transformation efforts to foster a high-performance, inclusive, and change-ready environment. Act as a key change agent, guiding leadership and teams through transitions while embedding new ways of working. Provide guidance and mentoring to the HR function and related HR team Assess, analyze and partner to develop and implement plans to address resource needs in response to both succession and changes in the business Create and drive development plans for leadership development and career growth. Develop and implement succession plans for all key roles in the business unit. Collaborate on and direct the training and development needs of all employees Manage legal requirements and government regulations affecting human resources operations ensuring policies, procedures, and reporting are compliant Supervise and participate in the recruitment of diverse talent across the organization Administer wage and confidential salary policies and structures to include sales incentives and other bonus programs globally;recommend changes in compensation strategy and alignment to Division management; administer wage review programs and interpret local wage and salary surveys to insure competitiveness Develop and implement effective communications relative to all HR programs Administer performance management and salary increase programs, providing guidance and education for quality results Participate in community relations activities to enhance the Company's image in the local area.
