**Job Responsibilities**
+ Performs and coordinates a variety of duties related to dispatch and scheduling
+ Responsible for receiving calls for service; prioritizes and coordinates the service requests
+ Works closely with management and the dispatch team to communicate needs and ensure timely guest service
+ Manages and maintains of all records and documentation of service requests; utilizes software to log activity
+ Provides customer service and maintains a friendly and effective attitude toward customers, guests, clients, and co-workers
+ Other duties and tasks as assigned by the manager

+ Previous experience in transportation dispatch or related field preferred
+ Must have a working knowledge of software applications

+ Must be available to work flexible hours including Evenings, weekends, and Overnight
+ Bilingual - English /Spanish a Plus

Education and Experience Requirements

Position Overview:
HumanEdge Health is seeking experienced Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to join a high-acuity adult psychiatric unit in The Bronx. This is a 13-week contract ideal for professionals passionate about mental health and equipped with the skills to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced behavioral health environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform safety checks and patient rounding every 15 minutes
- Monitor vitals and conduct routine weight checks (every Saturday)
- Provide ADLs and 1:1 direct observation as needed
- Conduct phlebotomy and blood glucose checks (prior experience required)
- Assist with de-escalation, behavioral support, and crisis intervention
- Collaborate with RNs and participate in unit rounds
- Support charge nurse and unit leadership (travelers may be asked to serve in charge role)
- Ensure a safe, therapeutic, and compliant care environment
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ year of psychiatric unit experience (inpatient, acute psych strongly preferred)
- Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) via AAH – Required
- BLS Certification (AHA) – Required
- Phlebotomy experience
- Comfortable with behavioral health interventions including use of restraints
- Prior experience in psych or mental health care setting
Additional Information:
- No IVs or telemetry on this unit
- No detox/rehab patients (they are assigned to a separate unit)
- Patient Population: Adults 18+ with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, substance use, intellectual disabilities
- Support Structure: Strong charge nurse and assistant coordinator coverage 24/7
