What Youll Do
- Lead employee relations, employee engagement activities, and investigations.
- Conduct training relating to adoption of our people principles and cultural norms/expectations.
- Support org design and structural changes to ensure consistency.
- Monitor and maintain accuracy of Employee Records using various HRIS systems.
- Evaluate new-hire onboarding and iterate to drive the best experience to fast ramp, assist with programming.
- Assist performance management activities and compensation modifications - help leaders to understand team performance.
- Communicate the strategy behind and rollout of benefits programs, including annual open enrollment, and participate in benefits education campaigns.
- Partner closely with Workforce Management (WFM) and payroll to resolve issues of attendance, employee scheduling, leaves of absence, etc.
- Engage in Talent programming that impacts the business. (i.e. Safety Awareness Month, Learning & Development Adherence, etc.)
What Youll Need
- 3+ years experience in a dedicated HR Generalist role
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management, or related field, preferred
- PHR or SPHR preferred
- Ability to use independent judgment, problem-solve, be creative and answer questions
- Proven ability to effectively and respectfully partner with individuals at varying levels within an organization
- Comfortable adapting to change in a fast-paced, dynamic and ambiguous environment
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills including Google Suite and HRIS systems

This is an on-site position (Monday-Friday) located in our fulfillment center in McDonough, GA. This role requires traveling bi-weekly to our Port Wentworth fulfilment center. This role requires shift flexibility between the hours of 8:00 AM- 6:00 PM and flexibility for support during operating hours of the FC for escalations, talent coverage, etc.

Job duties include: Maintain an understanding of the US and state regulatory landscape, utility programs, and wholesale markets in the Northeast, the Mid-Atlantic, and TX and other regions as we expand; and represent Caterpillar as an expert in meetings with regulators, agency officials, utilities, customers, and other stakeholders. Partner with internal departments and outside consultants to monitor market programs and public policy changes (including but not limited to regulation, legislation, government enforcement, and litigation), and prepare written analysis of business opportunities and business impacts of proposals or changes. Work with team members to develop new offerings based on market, regulatory, programmatic, or policy opportunities or risks. What you will have: Accuracy and attention to detail: Extensive experience effectively processing and synthesizing large quantities of detailed information (including but not limited to legislation, regulations, and utility tariffs) with high levels of accuracy, while productively balancing speed and accuracy. Effective Communication: Extensive Experience effectively compiling and communicating complex concepts and adapting communication tools appropriately for the intended audience. Data/Information Analysis and Interpretation: Extensive Experience effectively collecting, identifying, analyzing, interpreting, evaluating, and synthesizing information, particularly relating to business impacts of existing and emerging energy regulation and policy. Research Analysis: Extensive Experience effectively employing industry standard concepts, processes, and methods of research analysis including interpreting and evaluating research findings compiled and documented by others, including but not limited to third party consultants. Technical Writing/Documentation: Working knowledge level ability to write heavily researched and highly accurate analytical documents (memoranda or reports). Top candidates will also have: A bachelor’s degree in the relevant financial/economics/business/legal discipline is required. Working knowledge with at least 3 years experience: monitoring and analyzing Federal Energy policy monitoring and analyzing state policy in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic monitoring and analyzing the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic electricity sectors, including work with or for ISO-NE and/or PJM, utilities (including Munis/co-ops), distributed electricity generators, etc. advising leadership on current and shifting policy and regulations Working knowledge or consultant contacts with expert knowledge of the Texas electricity sector, including ERCOT, TX utilities (including Munis/co-ops), distributed electricity generators, etc. Familiarity and consultant contacts with expert knowledge of wholesale markets outside ISO-NE, PJM, and TX state energy policy outside the northeast and mid-Atlantic regions and TX Familiarity with ratemaking proceedings, disputes, or other docketed matters. Familiarity with natural gas regulation and rates. Familiarity with air quality regulation. Comfort working in an unstructured environment.
