20041 Business Systems Consultant

Location West Point, GA

PURPOSE
The Business Systems Consultant supports SAP modules that are utilized by Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Georgia and other affiliate companies. This position requires in-depth knowledge of cost management systems with manufacturing processes. This position also requires strong hands-on experience in analyzing user requirements and providing solutions employing best practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Lead SAP system operation support at Hyundai/KIA plant.
  2. Monitor SAP system execution and respond and resolve any production-related issues.
  3. Perform system design, development and implementation of any business process change initiated by client.
  4. Identify opportunities of making system operation improvements.
  5. Manage projects as needed from resource planning, system design, system development and implementation.
  6. Track the progress and closure of issues by utilizing change management tools.
  7. Create training materials and provide end user training.
  8. Work with cross functional groups to complete development projects and tasks.
  9. Perform essential duties in supporting CO-CCA, CO-IO, CO-PC, CO-PA and Material Ledger; provide additional support on FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, FI-AA, and TR modules.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelors degree in information technology or supply chain management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. 5+ years of work experience is required, including 3+ years of experience with SAP CO and FI.
  3. Hands-on experience in the design, configuration and support of SAP CO and FI in a manufacturing environment. The main focus is on CO operations.
  4. Involvement in 4+ full life cycle implementation experiences.
  5. Hands-on working experience in the following areas:
  1. Product Costing
  2. Cost Center Accounting
  3. Profitability Analysis
  4. Material Ledger
  5. Period closing
  6. Logistic master data in FI/CO environment
  7. Planning and budgeting
  1. Good knowledge of financial accounting and cost management.
  2. Experience must include a combination of new process design, development and production support.
  3. Basic skills and knowledge on debugging SAP systems to identify issues and opportunities of making system improvements.
  4. Good analytical, communication and documentation skills; open communicator with a strong customer focus.
  5. Ability to model business and technical concepts using a variety of notations and methods (e.g., flow charts, system flow diagrams, logical database design, etc.).

Salary Range - $89,150 - 124,800

* Budget & Financial preparation and reporting.
* Prepares annual budget and quarterly forecasts in conjunction with the plant General manager with a goal of forecast accuracy.
* Utilize KPIu2019s and plant initiatives to project future plant growth opportunities, encourage going beyond just the traditional product cost.
* Collaboration with Commercial Business leads to challenge and validation of top line revenue expectations.

* The Business Finance and Accounting Leader is accountable for overseeing all internal controls and failures of the site(s).

* They ensure key processes follow documented company policies.
* They ensure adequate control over the companyu2019s local assets and financial reporting.
* They find the right balance between effectiveness in value creation and control efficiency.
* Responsible for optimizing processes through IT improvement and implementation.
* Drive process improvements through the utilization of best practices across the organization.
* Profitability Analysis
* Leverage data systems to provide ongoing customer profitability analysis to help catch and correct margin erosion.
* Facilitate open discussion among business leaders on how to drive more margin through volume, price or operational changes.
* Accounting
* Actively review and validate plant WIP, Finished Goods and raw materials values.
* Creation and/or review of site monthly Journal Entries
* Review P&L accounts for the necessary reclassification of costs.
* Facilitate and assist with plant inventory counts, count verifications and reconciliation processes.
* Other tasks as deemed necessary
* Working Capital/ Cash flow monitoring
* Serve as the facilitator to their business partners on decision making processes that drive working capital improvements or that prevent negative impacts.
* Ad Hoc Analysis
* Plant Comps in performance to other "like" plants or businesses
* Profitability Improvement programs if the plant is on an improvement plan
* Compiling and Delivering Plant visit decks to Senior leadership during onsite or Teams meetings.
What you need to succeed:
* Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting, Finance or Business Administration; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
* Finance career progression in corporate/operations finance with 10+ years of experience.
* Experience in the paper and packaging industry or another manufacturing or operations environment is strongly preferred.
* Demonstrated experience managing and exerting influence on diverse teams, with full responsibility for hiring, development and performance management.
* Strong analytical ability/perspective required along with willingness to dive into the details.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated experience as a business partner to operational leaders.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
* Must be a self-starter and completely self-directed, with a passion for continuous improvement and ambition to continue to grow to greater levels of responsibility.
* Strong PC skills in Knowledge of AS400, BPCS, Radius, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, pivot tables and data mining. Prior Hyperion experience is desired.

Develop organizational change management framework and conduct user acceptance testing. Maintain automated system protocols by writing and updating procedures. May create end-user documentation (e.g., user guides, process flow charts, training materials) and deliver training.

• Perform post-implementation SAP support activities.

• Continually strive to enhance or improve business systems processes that drive efficiency through use of best practices.

• Ensure that product upgrades, enhancements, and future roll-out projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements.  

• Maintains a thorough understanding of clients business functions, and combines that knowledge with the ability to easily facilitate change, in order to ensure all aspects of SAP flow properly.

• Develops use cases, test plans, test scripts and test cases.

• Executes test plans and test scripts / cases to ensure system changes are aligned with business requirements.

• Exhibits the ability to also understand ABAP and interface related issues which effect to the business processes. (user exits)

• May perform user training in SAP SCM area.

• Through a wide range of business knowledge is able to serve as a key resource to coordinate and resolve SAP issues, by thoroughly understanding the integration associated with R/3 functionality.

• Provides knowledge transfer and support to other HAEA staff.

• Periodic status report to HAEA management and user groups.

• Communicate with users for daily maintenance issues and projects.

• Lead small/medium scale projects in finance area.

• Perform all other duties as assigned by management

SCOPE:

Supervisory Responsibility-None

Decision Making/Discretion Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.      

Strategy Development- Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.

EDUCATION:

-Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years of SAP PM area working experience.

IT SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Proficient in developing business requirements documentation, process flows, status reports, and presentations.

• Complete working knowledge of SAP PM.

• Strong problem solving and analysis skills.  

• Technical expert in design, configuration, testing, and debugging of SAP MM.

• Understanding of the integration points between the modules and their dependencies around SCM.

• Ability to understand ABAP and SAP interface.

• Ability to identify changes in business needs and translate these into successful solutions.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Good communication skills.

• Automotive industry experience (preferred).

CERTIFICATIONS:
