Position Overview

Serves as a Site Maintenance Technician (mechanic). A Maintenance Technician should be fully (and demonstrably) confident of their technical and personal abilities and should be able to use their abilities to positively affect the personnel and plant around them on a daily basis. A Maintenance Technician should be willing to play a larger role in "looking outward" and promoting positive change throughout the entire plant.

Job Responsibilities
  • Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, maintaining, and documenting plant process equipment, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Ensures work is captured in SAP maintenance module system.
  • Participates in plant safety, environmental, and production programs, including improvement teams.
  • Assists with project activities as necessary.
  • Environmental compliance, quality control, inventory management, housekeeping, and maintenance within the resin department.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by Leadership.

  • Ensures that safe work practices are followed; ensures Hexion FPD Safety Manual is followed.

Environmental Compliance:
  • Ensures environmental policies and practices are followed and that spills are properly reported and managed. Demonstrates a working knowledge of the site air permit and waste management program and assists in training of other employees. Participates in the investigation of quality incidents and takes action to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensures that maintenance procedures are adequate and followed.
  • Demonstrates analytical insight and process knowledge of entire production process.
Core Functions:
  • Coordinates, schedules, performs, and completes work orders and PM inspections technically.
  • Ensures all I&E and mechanical work and inputs information into SAP maintenance system to record and document repair.
  • Performs hands-on mechanical installation, repair, and maintenance for all process equipment at the site.
  • Build maintenance/equipment technical data and update equipment files.
  • Develop and maintain inventory of maintenance materials and equipment spare parts.
  • Interact with vendors in getting parts identified properly for ordering and delivery.
  • Gain an intimate understanding of process and process variables.
  • Works closely with the Regional Mechanical Integrity & Reliability Specialists to maintain consistent equipment standards of operability and documentation.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Willingness and ability to coordinate the activities of the team when a resin outage occurs.
  • Effectively troubleshoots and solves operational issues.
  • Demonstrates analytical insight and process knowledge and the ability to offer appropriate and timely corrective actions. Willingness and courage to accept the responsibility for one's actions, act appropriately based upon the situation, and be accountable for the results.
  • Independently completes day-to-day tasks with minimal supervision and to complete other special assignments, with an appropriate level of supervisory involvement.
  • Ensures reporting and resolution of process or mechanical variations or deviations.
  • Knowledge of SAP maintenance modules including the work order notification process.
  • Assists in scheduling shutdowns to maintain reliable and efficient operations.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and safety-oriented Chemical Production Technician to support critical production operations involving specialty chemicals and gases. Job Description

  • Operate assigned chemical production processes safely and efficiently to meet quality and productivity goals.
  • Assemble, disassemble, and perform basic maintenance on production equipment.
  • Participate actively in team-based safety initiatives and monthly safety meetings.
  • Review, follow, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and learning materials.
  • Engage in shift handovers, prioritize daily tasks, and coordinate with supervisors and leads.

Skills Required

  • Capable of wearing tight-fitting respiratory PPE, including full-face respirators and Level A suits with SCBA.
  • Must pass medical and physical evaluations to use required PPE.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs, roll cylinders up to 200 lbs, and occasionally work at heights up to 15 feet.
  • Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools.
  • Experience operating a fork truck (re-training provided).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

The primary purpose of this position is Food Processing and Industrial liquid and dry product manufacturing, blending and packaging.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Blending and packaging of liquid and dry chemicals in a GMP environment, following the appropriate SOP’s and donning the specified personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Inspection, cleaning, and filling of drums and totes.
  • Loading and unloading of tank trucks and railcars, following the appropriate SOP’s.
  • Cleaning and inspection of blenders and reactors.
  • Careful review of worksheets and entry of Production Schedules.
  • Washing, sanitizing and testing of portable tanks/totes for reuse.

  • Participate in regulatory and process training activities as required and review changes/additions with your supervisor.

  • 2nd Shift -Monday to Friday 2pm-10:30pm
  • 3rd Shift - Monday to Friday 10pm-6:30am

Production Operator

The primary purpose of this position is product manufacturing, blending and packaging. This position will uphold the Hydrite “Standards of Excellence” through continuous commitment to customer satisfaction, both internal and external.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Blending and packaging of liquid chemicals in a GMP environment.
  • Inspection, cleaning, and filling of drums and totes.
  • Loading and unloading of tank trucks and railcars.
  • Drawing samples of incoming product and finish blends and compounds.
  • Cleaning and inspection of blenders and reactors.
  • Careful review of worksheets.
  • Operation of machinery as directed by supervisor.
  • Attend all mandatory training.
  • Complete all paperwork accurately, neatly, and according to SOP by the end of each shift.
  • Active member of Milwaukee’s Emergency Response Team.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

  • This position reports to the Production Supervisor.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to follow instructions.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

  • Prior chemical blending experience recommended.

Salary: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily production support for continuous chemical operations, facilitating troubleshooting and problem-solving for process equipment issues.
  • Manage and oversee plant controls, equipment, and distributed control systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct process trials and lead process improvement projects aimed at enhancing plant efficiency and productivity.
  • Champion continuous improvements in plant safety, productivity, quality, reliability, and cost reduction.
  • Lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) re-validations to ensure compliance and safety standards are met.
  • Actively participate in or lead Process Safety Management (PSM) activities, including audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in chemical process operations, with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and PSM practices.
  • Proven experience in chemical or polymer plant manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of primary unit operations including reaction, distillation, filtration, polymerization, crystallization, and separation techniques.
  • Practical experience with reactors, heat exchangers, tanks, separators, crystallizers, centrifuges, filters, strainers, and pumps.
  • Legal authorization to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working towards or possession of a Professional Chemical Engineer License.
  • Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with advanced process modeling and simulation tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and projects.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Production Operator, Plant-Based Ingredients

Step into the future as a key member of a small dynamic hands-on sustainable manufacturing team. Youll join a rapidly growing innovative Seacoast NH producer of patented plant-based ingredients used in new generations of consumer products. The ideal candidate for this full-time position is a motivated and energetic worker with experience in chemical production, mechanical troubleshooting, and forklift operations. The expected work schedule is primarily during the day from Monday to Friday with flexibility required to adjust for production peaks.


Responsibilities of the Production Operator

  • Operate production process equipment to meet product specifications.
