Position Summary:
The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides high-quality instructional services to students in grades K-12 with diverse learning needs. This role requires a strong commitment to collaborative planning and implementation of individualized student programs, including special instruction, tutorial support, and consultation with general education staff.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract, or district regulations
+ Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred)
+ Preferred Certifications:
+ Standard Elementary Teaching
+ Standard Secondary Teaching
+ Standard Special Teaching
+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
+ Compliance with all professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
