Position Outline:
- Deliver engaging, culturally responsive therapy sessions to address diverse communication needs.
- Participate in IEP development and attend multidisciplinary meetings to support student progress.
- Educate and guide school staff and parents on strategies to support communication development.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech and language abilities and identify student needs.
- Stay informed on advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development.
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans focused on speech, language, and communication challenges.
- Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential records of evaluations, therapy sessions, progress notes, and IEP documentation.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational professionals to align therapy goals with classroom and home environments.
Requirements
- Hold or be eligible to apply for an ASHA certification.
- Hold a Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Ability to apply for an SLP license in the state of Illinois (reimbursement available).
- CFYs (Clinical Fellows) are strongly encouraged to apply and will receive dedicated supervision.
