+ Functions in a clinical review capacity to evaluate all cases, which do not pass the authorization approval process at first call while promoting a supportive team approach with call center staff. Initial clinical reviewers are supported by Physician clinical review staff (MDs) in the utilization management determination process.

+ Reviews charts and analyzes clinical record documentation in order to approve services that meet clinical review criteria.
+ Conducts ongoing activities which monitor established quality of care standards in the participating provider network and for other clinical staff.
+ Conducts regular audits, as assigned, to ensure guidelines are applied appropriately.
+ In states where required, refers all cases that an approval cannot be rendered to the Physician Clinical Reviewer? In States where allowed, will make denial determinations as a specific case warrants.
+ Converses with medical office staff in order to obtain additional pertinent clinical history/information; notifies of approvals and denials, giving clinical rationale.
+ Provides optimum customer service through professional/accurate communication while maintaining NCQA and health plans required timeframes.
+ Documents all communication with medical office staff and/or treating provider.
+ Practices and maintains the principles of utilization management by adhering to policies and procedures.
+ Participates in on-going training programs to ensure quality performance in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
**The Experience You'll Need:**
+ Current, unrestricted state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
+ A physical therapist must hold a state license in physical therapy and hold a physical therapy degree from an accredited education program and pass the national certification examination?

The Physical Activities Course ( PAC ) program, a part of the School of Exercise, Sport, and Health Sciences, in the College of Health at Oregon State University invites applications for one or more fixed-term, non-tenure track full/part-time Aerobics & Fitness Development (Resistance & Endurance Training Formats) Instructor ( PAC ) positions to teach courses on a term-by-term basis for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Some of these appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis at the discretion of the program Director. 95% Teaching:
Teach courses in Aerobics & Fitness Development, specifically in rhythmic cardio formats.
Plan and organize instruction in ways that maximize student learning. Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies to communicate subject matter to students. Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs. Employ available instructional technology, i.e. the internet, telecourses, interactive technology, when appropriate. Contribute to the selection and development of instructional materials in accordance with course objectives. Develop, update, and post course syllabi and grades in a timely manner. Respond to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolution.
Establish meaningful student learning outcomes for courses/programs. Develop learning assessments that clearly measure student progress toward student learning outcomes. Maintain accurate records of student progress. Demonstrate sensitivity to student needs and circumstances.

The Faculty and Staff Fitness ( FSF ) program, a part of the School of Exercise, Sports, and Health Science, in the College of Health at Oregon State University invites applications for one or more Strength Training and/or Rhythmic Formats Fitness Instructor positions to teach FSF courses during the 2025-2026 academic year. These are professional faculty positions.
The Faculty and Staff Fitness ( FSF ) program, a part of the School of Exercise, Sport, and Health Sciences, in the College of Health at Oregon State University, invites applications for one or more Strength Training and/or Rhythmic Format Fitness Instructor positions to teach FSF courses during the 2025-2026 academic year. These are professional faculty positions. The Faculty Staff Fitness ( FSF ) program is offered through the College of Health at Oregon State University. The purpose of the program is to enhance the individual health, fitness, and well-being of OSU employees. The FSF program scheduled its first series of activity classes in the spring of 1984, initially offering 10 classes and enrolling 100 participants. The FSF program currently offers 30-40 classes and serves over 800 faculty, staff, graduate assistants, spouses/partners, and retirees of the university each term. Core activities include courses in aerobics, aqua fitness, conditioning, mind/body, and weight training. This is a hourly position. Classes are offered 2 to 3 days a week. Key Responsibilities
100% Instruction:Teach Strength Training and/or Rhythmic Formats courses in the OSU Faculty Staff Fitness program. Instruction includes design, delivery, and assessing individual participants' ability to perform movement correctly
What You Will Need
+ Bachelor's degree and one of the following:
+ One (1) year of teaching experience in strength training and/or rhythmic formats, for a minimum of 2 1-hour classes per week (approximately 104 hours annually), or an equivalent amount of instruction experience; OR
+ Nationally recognized professional certification in strength training and/or rhythmic formats and 6 months of teaching experience for a minimum of 2 1-hour classes per week (approximately 52 hours annually), or an equivalent amount of instruction experience; OR
+ Associate's degree in Exercise Sports Science or relevant field and three (3) years teaching experience in field of strength training and/or rhythmic formats.; OR
+ High School Diploma or equivalent and five (5) years teaching experience AND Certification in field of strength training, group fitness and/or rhythmic formats.
+ CPR / AED and First Aid certifications by the start of classes.
+ Demonstrated ability to design, teach and assess courses that support inclusive learning principles and promote equitable teaching practices, to the benefit of all learners.
What We Would Like You to Have
+ Masters in Kinesiology or relevant discipline.
+ NCCA certification in field of group exercise, strength training, personal training, or rhythmic formats. Preferred certifying organizations: ACSM , NSCA , ACE , NASM .
+ Enrolled in/completed Kinesiology/Public Health program and completed a practicum/internship within the Faculty Staff Fitness organization in field applicable to position.
+ 5+ years teaching experience.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
This position is hourly. This position requires the ability to demonstrate the physical fitness activity to participants for the duration of the class. This position may require lifting up to 40 pounds, bending, twisting, and physical demands associated with fitness activity classes. Classes are offered in short blocks of time throughout the day and week, including early mornings, lunch times, and evenings. For example an Instructor may teach the same class for one hour on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

80% CAMP COVERAGE
Assists in the coverage of the Oregon State University athletic sponsored camps as assigned. Provides athletic training services to physically active camp attendees. Responsible for activating the Emergency Action Plan for sports/venues as assigned. May interact with persons under 18 years of age in a one-on-one setting. Encourage and participate in activities that foster an environment that is diverse, equitable, inclusive, and fosters a sense of belonging for student athletes, student workers, and colleagues.
20% ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES
Completes appropriate paperwork including, but not limited to, incident or injury reports for departmental accountability. No additional sports medicine department administrative duties assigned.

You will also be required to answer two supplemental questions in the application process regarding your IAWP status.An Individual Associate with a Prospect ( IAWP ) is any person who maintains (or directs others to maintain) contact with a Prospective Student-Athlete ( PSA ), the PSA's relatives or legal guardians, or coaches at any point during the PSA's participation in Football or Basketball, and whose contact is directly or indirectly related to either the PSA's athletic skills and abilities or the PSA's recruitment by or enrollment in an NCAA institution. This definition includes, but is not limited to, parents, legal guardians, handlers, personal trainers, mentors and coaches. Coaches or employees at collegiate institutions may also be considered IAWPs for PSAs that they recruit. Answers to the questions must be truthful. False or misleading answers could result in termination or disqualification from eligibility for any employment at Oregon State University.
Any required licenses and/or certifications may be uploaded as License or Certification 1-4. The online application system will allow you to attach your license/certification if the PDF file is 9MB or less. If over 9MB in size, submit to contact person listed. The license and/or certification must be received by the closing date if not uploaded with your application.
