Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of recent experience in construction management of large, complex projects involving large-scale mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) plants.

Summary

Partner is seeking full-time Building Science Project Engineers across the country to complete Property & Facility Condition Assessments and subsequent due diligence reports for our clients.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct assessments of buildings to evaluate the condition of the building systems, provide recommendations for immediate repairs, and use observations and industry standards to determine future building system replacements

As Senior Project Manager, your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure that safety goals are achieved for responsible projects and identify safe work practices and areas for improvement
  • Provide professional conduct on behalf of Christman Constructors
  • Forecast project cost to completion, and project gross profit for each monthly close
  • Coordinate directly with Chief of Civil/Concrete Estimating for estimate and bid support including take-off, estimates, proposals and pricing
  • Communicate project goals with field leadership and coordinate planning effort
  • Project planning including conceiving of civil and concrete means/methods, schedules, change order time and costs, as well as coordinate subcontractors
  • Determine subcontractor/vendor buyout, commitments and scope execution
  • Develop project budgets based on current estimates and proposals
  • Vendor and subcontractor invoice approval
  • Develop Schedule of Values (SOV), Owner invoices and ensure timely Owner payments
  • Estimate and quote extra work and document changes, ensure extras are loaded into Viewpoint/logs and track/act on Owner contract changes
  • Ensure that project controls such as safety forms, work plans, submittals, RFI's, logs and documents are organized, submitted, closed and complete
  • Work with project team to develop project and look-ahead schedules. Provide periodic review of schedules to ensure milestone dates are met and schedule delays are documented
  • Draft and submit project correspondence in order to document risk-related issues such as delays, claims, extra work and safety hazards

What You Will Bring to the Team:

Required experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of ten years of construction project leadership experience
  • Or equivalent combination of the above education, training, and experience

Work Environment and Physical Demands: The majority of work is completed outside at the construction site and in an office trailer where the project is monitored, and daily decisions are made about construction activities. The position is often exposed to sounds and loud noises, such as construction equipment. The job requires the wearing of protective equipment when on the construction site (hardhats, safety glasses, and highly visible clothing). The Project Manager's main focus is the sales and marketing of our installed polished concrete and epoxy flooring systems as well as our materials for end users in commercial, retail, and industrial markets. The successful candidate will have sales and account/territory development experience, preferably in the flooring industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for account development and territory development through existing account follow up, cold calling/prospecting, telemarketing lead follow up, target marketing and business development meetings
  • New and existing account development, site inspections, proposal deliveries and material demonstrations
  • Provide them with accurate information for the creation of proposals for customers
  • Some overnight travel
  • Successful candidate should have the motivation and desire to help grow and build regional sales

Qualifications:

  • Experience in general flooring, construction, or sales is required. Two to three years of past territory and account development experience is preferred.
  • Solid qualifying and closing ability as well as a history of sales success
  • The ability to work successfully both individually and within a team environment
  • Solid time and territory management skills and a strong motivation to develop new accounts
  • College degree preferred
  • Valid State driver's license (in good standing) is required
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
