We are seeking highly skilled and self-motivated Telecom Field Construction Representatives with advanced experience in aerial and buried fiber installation. The ideal candidate will possess intermediate expertise in one or more related disciplines such as tower construction (including associated civil work) or telecom distribution line construction. This role requires a strong understanding of telecom construction standards and safety protocols, along with the ability to inspect, enforce compliance, and mentor team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute advanced aerial and buried fiber construction projects.
- Apply intermediate-level knowledge in tower construction (including civil work) and/or telecom distribution line work to support project success.
- Enforce safety and quality control measures, ensuring all work adheres to engineering design drawings and applicable specifications and standards.
- Conduct professional inspections and maintain high standards of conduct in the field.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with engineers, consultants, subcontractors, stakeholders, and the public.
- Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to junior team members on best practices and efficient work methods.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Utilize computer systems proficiently for documentation, reporting, and project tracking.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating accountability and strong decision-making skills.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Hands-on experience with aerial fiber, underground fiber, boring, trenching, and plowing.
- Thorough knowledge of engineering design and specifications of design packages.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret construction and design documents.
- Familiarity with OSHA Standard 1926, including Subpart V – Power Transmission and Distribution.
- Leadership or compliance management experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to enforce safety and quality standards.
- Proven experience in conducting field inspections with professionalism and high standards of conduct.
- Ability to work well independently while maintaining effective professional relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

Summary
The primary duties of the Construction Manager are to ensure the installation of the DI equipment is completed safely, on time, on budget, and within the specifications of the project. The Construction Manager will represent PowerSecure at the project site level, oversee all construction activities, be present for all equipment deliveries, manage subcontractors and internal resources, as well as interfacing with the customer, utility, and local AHJ's.
Minimum Qualifications
+ High School Diploma with 2+ years of experience in construction, energy industries preferred.
+ Experience using MS Project is a plus.
+ Ability to read and communicate proficiently in English.
+ Ability to use computer and proficient with standard office software.
+ Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Must be punctual, organized, and professional.
+ Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Experience in working with General Contractors, subcontractors, customers, utilities, and AHJ's.
+ Knowledge of construction management and construction process.
+ Ability to identify and manage priorities with urgency, while maintaining high quality and customer service.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Subcontractors and Internal Resources
Essential Functions
+ Maintain safe and healthy work sites by following company standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements.
+ Coordinate and administer daily safety briefs with contractors and company employees to ensure a safe working environment.
+ Coordinate and lead project meetings with customers, utilities, subcontractors, and/or other stakeholders.
+ Proficiently understand all aspects of project and adequately manage the installation.
+ Ensure project sites are always left in a tidy manner and follow housekeeping standards and procedures.
+ Properly coordinate with respective parties for timely execution of project schedule.
+ Proficiently communicate with Senior Staff to ensure each project is installed safely, timely, and on budget.

Transmission Construction Representative - Electric Utilities - Transmission Line & Substation
We are looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable Transmission Construction Representative to oversee contractor performance and ensure compliance with contract terms for construction projects related to the owner's electric transmission system. This role will involve ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and design specifications, across a range of projects, from simple upgrades to the construction of new substations.
- Ensure contractors adhere to all contract requirements while performing construction on the electric transmission system.
- Monitor the safe completion of work, ensuring alignment with design specifications and safety standards.
- Manage a wide scope of projects, including substation upgrades and the construction of new substations.
- Proactively identify potential issues that could impact project success, such as design flaws, material shortages, contractor performance, access challenges, and customer concerns.
- Assist in resolving issues to maintain project timelines, quality, and safety standards.
- Apply expert knowledge of line, substation, and civil construction requirements, with a broad understanding of other transmission and distribution areas.
- Interpret engineering drawings and provide guidance for their application in construction.
- Ensure compliance with Owner construction standards and safety terms.
- Perform all duties independently, while demonstrating leadership and a high level of expertise.
- Mentor and train lower-level Transmission Construction Representatives (TCR), sharing best practices and ensuring the application of correct methods and processes.

General Summary:
The Vice President of Outside Plant Construction and Engineering oversees planning, design, and construction of new fiber optic networks for new and existing markets. This individual has responsibility for upgrades to existing HFC and copper networks as well.
Reporting directly to the CTO, the VP drives strategic initiatives, optimizes operations, and leads a high-performing team to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with industry standards.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the telecommunications industry, a strong background in construction management, knowledge of fiber network planning and engineering principles, and a proven track record of delivering large-scale fiber deployment projects.
Essential Job Functions:
- Work closely with CTO and other senior executives to define the company’s infrastructure goals.
- Provide strategic leadership to construction and engineering departments to develop and implement construction plans that align with the company’s overall business objectives.
- Lead and mentor a team of construction and engineering managers, promoting a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Develop and manage operating and capital budgets, implementing appropriate spending controls, and providing reports and metrics as required to track financial performance ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
- Identify and mitigate risks such as budget overruns, project delays, and safety incidents, etc. to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting or exceeding quality and safety standards.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure high-quality work at competitive rates. Monitor performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and deadlines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all construction-related matters with internal stakeholders, including engineering, operations, and executive leadership teams.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including local government officials, regulatory bodies, and community leaders.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing innovative strategies, tools, and processes that enhance efficiency, quality, and safety in construction.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in construction and engineering management within the telecommunications sector.
- Travels to project areas, customer sites, business related meetings or events, and other Ritter Communications locations as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Broad knowledge of construction standards within the telecommunications industry with expertise in fiber deployment

- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex fiber deployment projects.
