GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Systems Analyst will provide technical expertise, maintenance, and support for the College's administrative data processing systems. They design, program, implement, update, and maintain new and upgraded application programs and integrations. This position assists and collaborates with stakeholders, ensuring seamless coordination while overseeing the integration with other systems. Additionally, the Systems Analyst coordinates with the Administrative Systems team and stakeholders to ensure efficient operations. This position receives general direction from the Manager of Administrative Systems and exercises no supervision.
NOTE: This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.

Job Description
The Senior Financial Analyst supports ongoing financial forecasting and develops financial models to support decision-making related to business issues (e.g., new product development analysis, product portfolio analysis, expense/investment analysis, profitability of new opportunities, impacts of regulatory changes, capital analysis, revenue models, and profit margin analysis). Responsible for managing inventory items and operations. Candidates should be local to Waco, TX.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and develops drafts of annual Plan, LRP, and LBEs, including P&L, headcount, balance sheet, expenses, and capital, using planning systems and incorporating review changes from financial and operational management.
- Prepares variance analysis for each planning cycle and management reporting schedules under the direction of the Manager.
- Works directly with the Accounting Shared Service team on monthly close and financial reporting to ensure complete, accurate, and timely results, including variance analysis and commentary for P&L, headcount, and balance sheet. Communicates issues vs. benchmarks to the Manager for resolution.
- Supports capital processes, including RCE preparation and review in accordance with financial policies.
- Provides financial reviews and approvals (purchase orders and invoices).
- Performs ad hoc analysis and forecasts for internal management and external customers as needed.
- Collaborates with other departments within AbbVie to ensure strategic initiatives are achieved.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting required.
- 4+ years of progressive experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
- Ability to execute priorities with speed and agility.
- Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Knowledge of SAP and TM1 is a plus.
