PROJECT OVERVIEW
Macomb Community College is in need of qualified Ellucian/Datatel Colleague Programmer/Analysts for 24 months. The Colleague Programmer/Analysts must have at least 4 years of Unidata Colleague experience, including Colleague ERP/Self-Service, Envision Basic, Colleague Studio and QueryBuilder. Preferred experience would include, ETHOS API's, Ellucian Experience Platform and Portal, Microsoft SQL and SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence.
Multiple contract Programmer/Analysts may be required by Macomb and multiple vendors may be selected to fulfill our programming needs. The position(s) may be on-site or remote.
2. TOPOLOGY STATEMENT
The College has two geographically disparate datacenters connected with two dedicated, geographically separated fiber paths. Each are equipped with natural gas-powered generators and clean-air fire suppression systems.
The Colleague system is on-premises at this time running a Unidata database (not SQL) and includes Self-Service. The college is moving towards using Ellucian ETHOS for 3rd party interfaces and installing Ellucian Experience as a new development platform and student portal. The main reporting system is SAP's Business Intelligence platform.
FUNCTION: Works independently, with little supervision either alone or as part of a team, gathers and analyzes information for developing, acquiring, and modifying information systems. Working closely with users, the programmer/analyst designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents application programs within the Ellucian Colleague system.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of six years in analysis and programming within the Ellucian Colleague environment. Must include experience with Ellucian Colleague ERP/Self-Service, Envision Basic and Colleague Studio. Preferred experience in MS SQL ETHOS and Experience API's and SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence.

Macomb Community College reserves the right to interview candidates and validate their qualifications. Macomb also reserves the right to change consultants during the 24-month contracting term if different Colleague skills sets are needed or the contractor is not performing to our standards.

The contractor, if not on-site, needs to be available via online chat between 8am and 5pm (Eastern) Monday through Friday. Weekly status reports will be supplied by the vendor identifying total hours, hours expended to date, and status of current programming tasks. Skill set info REQUIREMENTS:
• Current knowledge of the Ellucian Colleague application suite including Core, ST, CF, and HR with the ability to troubleshoot issues in each of these modules.
• Able to design, code and test customizations within the Colleague modules.
• Able to write and execute Colleague queries.
• Accustomed to completing program modifications using Colleague Studio.
• Possesses a working knowledge of the Colleague Unidata database and data elements to retrieve and understand the data in forms, queries, reports, web pages or other appropriate formats.
• Familiar with higher education to the extent necessary to discuss programming requests with college departments.
• Maintains service request management system with status, required attachments and communications for all assigned IT tickets.
• Writes specifications containing flowcharts, diagrams, and details sufficient for both end user and technical personnel.
• Develop and execute test plans.
• Adhere to project deadlines and budget for assigned tasks.
• Knowledge of Ellucian ETHOS, Experience and Application Programming Interfaces (API's) a plus.
