Overview
The Corporate Communications Specialist is an experienced writer and project manager who supports internal and external communications for PPL at the corporate level. This individual primarily works with internal business lines to create strategic communications plans that support PPL's business objectives and drive employee engagement. Responsible for producing content for PPL's main internal communication platforms and vehicles including Sky News.

Responsibilities
+ Provide writing and editorial services for various corporate functions, including corporate announcements, employee features, talking points, executive communications and other materials.
+ Develop and implement communications strategies to advance client objectives and change management initiatives.
+ Post and manage stories and emails on Sky News, PPL's internal communications platform. Understand the administrative functions associated with it, including: maintain an editorial calendar and ensure appropriate delivery and segmenting of communications.
+ Coordinate closely with PPL's various communications teams to ensure consistency of message across communication channels and leverage opportunities to work more collaboratively across the internal communications landscape.
+ Script, direct and produce videos for internal and external use and oversee the editing of those videos.
+ Build and maintain productive relationships with company management, colleagues and all employees to improve internal and external communications on behalf of the company.
+ Be an excellent writer -- fast and accurate -- and be able to apply that skill to every medium we use, including publications, Intranet, Internet, social media and others. Have excellent presentation skills, and be able to persuade, and to diplomatically disagree, when necessary, to advance the company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Complete staff evaluations including but not limited to 90-day and annual reviews
  • Monitor and maintain residential budgets
  • Manage staff schedules and ensure shifts are adequately staffed
  • Monitor and schedule required staff trainings, seminars, and conferences
  • Monitor fiscal, medical, personal, and IHP documentation to ensure accuracy
  • Participate in Circle(s) of Support for personal future planning
  • Monitor and schedule house and vehicle maintenance
  • Assist in maintaining and monitoring of consumer's finances

***THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ENLISTMENT IN THE U.S. ARMY OR ARMY RESERVE***

As a Combat Medic Specialist, you'll administer emergency medical care in the field in both combat and humanitarian situations. Your training will allow you to serve as a first responder and triage illnesses and injuries to save lives, much like a paramedic in the civilian world. You'll also train other Soldiers in lifesaver/first responder courses and provide care on base while not deployed.

Skills you'll learn align with Emergency Medical Care, Patient Care Instructing & Training. In addition, you could earn 57 nationally recognized certifications!

HELPFUL SKILLS
  • Enjoy helping and caring for others
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work under stressful conditions
  • Interest in chemistry, biology, psychology, general science and algebra
  • High attention to detail
JOB DUTIES
  • Administer emergency medical treatment to battlefield casualties
  • Assist with outpatient and inpatient care and treatment
  • Instruct Soldier's on Combat Lifesaver/First Responder training course
  • Manage Soldier's medical readiness, medical supplies and equipment
REQUIREMENTS
  • 10 weeks of Basic Training
  • 16 weeks of Advanced Individual Training
  • U.S. Citizen
  • 17 to 34 Years Old
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Meet Tattoo Guidelines
  • No Major Law Violations
  • No Medical Concerns
