The Cyber Security Manager conducts risk and security assessment activities with our customers, including analyses of customer environments, assessment of their current state of security and level of preparedness to protect their services and data and recommendations to address any gaps determined. This critical position partners with security architects/engineers, and various program management areas to create cybersecurity recommendations, response plans, and direction for the customer(s).

Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute strategic cybersecurity engagements
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers translating complex cybersecurity concepts into actionable business insights
  • Executing cloud and network security assessments
  • Regularly perform or assist with performing gap assessments against known cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, PCI, CIS, etc.)
  • Conduct internal configuration and vulnerability assessments of information systems using commercial and open-source assessment tools
  • Document and analyze system configurations and provide recommendations on best practices
  • Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements to guide customers effectively
  • Create detailed, professional documentation / reports that clearly communicate vulnerabilities, mitigation strategies, and remediation steps
Requirements
  • 10+ years of client facing cybersecurity consulting experience; equivalent industry experience will be considered
  • One or more current security certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, GSEC, CEH, GCIA, GCIH, GCFA, GSNA, GPEN)
  • Passion for cybersecurity - to continue learning and growing in the field
  • Problem solving approach to address client needs
  • Experience with various compliance frameworks (CMMC/PCI/HIPAA/NIST/CIS)
  • The ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and be committed to providing exemplary customer service
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working in a team environment and having your work be subject to a peer review process
  • The ability to work after hours as requested by client engagements
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Information Security/Technology, Cybersecurity or related field experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security/Technology, Cybersecurity, or related discipline

About the Role

BetMGM is seeking a Cybersecurity Manager to design, implement, and oversee comprehensive information security strategies to help continually advance our cybersecurity posture and protect against evolving threats and vulnerabilities.   • Contribute to the design and enforcement of comprehensive security policies, procedures, and SOPs specifically to ensure ongoing compliance to all jurisdictional, industry framework or similar requirements.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of security architecture and controls including onboarding new applications in furtherance of these objectives.

  • Be knowledgeable of and work to implement strategies to ensure BetMGM adheres to industry best practices for information security, is in compliance with relevant cyber and data privacy laws and regulations, and is in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements for information security and data privacy.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and be able to provide presentations summarizing cybersecurity initiatives, ongoing performance and overall cybersecurity posture.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data-driven analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders, including senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to Kanban boards to monitor, adapt and improve.
  • Stay on top of the latest emerging technology trends and proactively update processes where needed.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Information Security experience as a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst or equivalent or above.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in technology or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Expertise in common technology controls for industry best practices (e.g., from NIST, ISO, ISACA, GLI etc.) frameworks.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CISM, or CISA) are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of security technologies and concepts, including but not limited to firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, encryption, and vulnerability management.
  • Experience with security tools and platforms including but not limited to SIEM, IAM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and DLP.
  • Experience developing and rolling our security awareness and training programs.
  • Experience with managing and responding to cybersecurity incidents implementing best practices for containment and remediation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding high ethical standards in the conduct of all duties.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,800 to $155,000. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Manager to lead our organization's security efforts, with a strong emphasis on securing the Microsoft 365 platform and enterprise network infrastructure. Microsoft 365 Security & Governance:
  • Develop and implement best-in-class security policies, configurations, and governance for Microsoft 365, including Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.

  • Enforce identity and access management (IAM), including MFA, conditional access policies, role-based access control (RBAC), and privileged identity management (PIM).
  • Assess and enhance data loss prevention (DLP), email security, and endpoint protection within the Microsoft ecosystem.
Network Security & Infrastructure Hardening:
  • Oversee and manage firewall configurations, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation to enhance security posture.
  • Ensure the security of on-premises and cloud network environments, including Azure, hybrid, and remote infrastructure.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and lead hardening efforts for servers, endpoints, and network devices.
  • Implement and monitor architecture, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and security logging and monitoring solutions.
Cybersecurity Strategy & Risk Management:
  • Develop and execute a cybersecurity roadmap that aligns with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments, security audits, and incident response planning to mitigate potential threats.
  • Lead and collaborate with IT and executive leadership to drive a culture of security awareness across the organization.
Hands-On Security Operations & Incident Response:
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents, breaches, and threats across all IT environments.
  • Conduct penetration testing, log analysis, and threat intelligence to proactively identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Automate security tasks using PowerShell or other scripting languages for operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers to enhance security capabilities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
