Kforce has a client in Birmingham, AL that is seeking a senior-level Business Analyst IV to lead business analysis efforts on the R2 Core Modernization project. This role is ideal for a highly experienced, hands-on analyst who can work independently, mentor junior analysts, and partner with product owners and QA to ensure high-quality delivery. The BA IV will serve both TransACT and Sales & Service App teams, supporting requirement definition, test planning, and backlog management in an Agile environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Business Analyst IV will act as a lead analyst, mentoring junior BAs and ensuring best practices in requirements and QA documentation
- Collaborate with Product Owners to break down epics into user stories and define clear acceptance criteria
- Drive the creation and execution of test plans and test cases using Azure DevOps
- Support QA efforts and perform log analysis to support troubleshooting and requirement validation
- As a Business Analyst IV, you will provide business insight and challenge assumptions to ensure solution alignment with user needs
- Guide the team in Agile adoption and process maturity
- Take initiative to work across both key applications (TransACT and Sales & Service App) based on need
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Information Systems, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in business or systems analysis
- Banking industry experience is required
- Strong familiarity with Agile delivery models and Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and provide quality assurance oversight
- Logical thinker with ability to read system logs and derive actionable insights
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Experience with Argo Data or ARGO Teller systems

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Responsibilities

- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into data warehouses or data marts, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Optimize and fine-tune SQL queries and data models for optimal performance and responsiveness.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, data integration processes, and data cleansing procedures.
- Implement data governance practices, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Participate in data architecture and modeling discussions to ensure the scalability and flexibility of BI solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
