This Business Intelligence Engineer II position requires the ability to work independently, gather and analyze requirements from business partners and deliver high-quality Business Intelligence solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop, Implement, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards using multiple database sources

  • Gather and analyze business requirements from various stakeholders to design effective solutions

  • Optimize and maintain SQL queries to improve performance and efficiency

  • Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI and other business intelligence tools

  • Document processes, technical designs, and report configurations

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of technical experience in SQL programming language

  • Must be able and willing to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours

  • Minimum 1 year of experience with Power BI or with a similar data visualization, reporting, or dashboard tool

  • Demonstrated experience utilizing reporting solutions to solve business or data issues

  • Experience working with Medicaid data

  • Strong written and verbal communication

The Technical Lead of Business Intelligence leads the business intelligence team and uses data to help the technology team make informed decisions. The BI Lead closely collaborates with various departments and helps them make data-driven decisions. Using industry-standard BI tools, like Tableau, Looker, Data Studio, and any new solutions the lead feels will be helpful. The BI Lead drives the development of cutting-edge BI solutions for both internal and external clients.

  • Lead, mentor, and guide the BI team, setting the technical roadmap and championing development best practices.
  • Design, architect, and deliver robust business intelligence solutions and data models for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Expertise in designing and building scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines and data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake).
  • Mastery of SQL for complex querying and data modeling (CTEs, Dimensional Models).
  • Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis (pandas, numpy).
  • Expertise with data visualization platforms (Looker, Tableau, etc.) and a strong understanding of data quality and presentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams.

We are currently seeking a Data Analytics Discipline Leader who will play a crucial role in leveraging data analytics to enhance a firm's capabilities in environmental services.
