This position will be responsible for gathering, cleaning, organizing, and reporting on data across multiple sources, locations, and departments within the organization in order to create reports, identify trends, and help drive business analytics. This position will also assist in the organization and management of our PowerBI environment to include all existing reports, workspaces, and access levels, and will help to satisfy the organization's reporting needs with changes to existing reports as well as ad-hoc reports as needed.
The pay range for this position is $60,126.00 - $77,720.36 annually based on experience.
Essential Functions
Maintain and optimize existing data systems, ensuring high availability and data quality.
Assists in the identification, planning, and execution of data migration between and amongst different systems on an as-needed basis.
Routinely reviews and tests data feeds, data transformation routines, and data validity, and responds accordingly to ensure ongoing integrity.
Troubleshoots production issues and develops proactive solutions for data quality and system performance issues.
Act as a liaison between departments, facilitating communication and ensuring alignment on data-driven goals.
Support and enhance ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for seamless data integration.
Provide ongoing training and guidance to individuals and teams on using data, tools, dashboards, and reports.
Design, refine, and implement interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI to support data-driven decision-making.
Identifies and integrates data from multiple sources and builds dashboards and reports within Power BI environment that produces interactive and effective data analytics.
Ensure reports and dashboards meet business needs and adhere to data quality standards.
Maintains a detailed inventory of new and existing reports, dashboards, data feeds, and transformation routines.
Analyze clinical and business data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
Collaborate with management and stakeholders to address analytical needs and propose solutions and/or improvements.
Leads the development of business intelligence solutions based on the requirements and strategic initiatives of business leadership.
Takes part in ad hoc reporting projects as needed, including supporting users in determining reporting options within available applications.

Minimum Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Intelligence, or a related field is required.
3-4 years of experience with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to include report building or extracting data from the system for reporting purposes.
Basic knowledge of SQL and Python; familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS); experience with Microsoft Power Platform and tools.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience applying a range of statistical analyses to practical decision-making contexts.
Experience with web-based data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, D3, Google Charts) and data visualization design principles.
Strong foundation in business intelligence principles.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
A proactive mindset with a keen eye for detail and data integrity.

The work of the Business Intelligence Management Division (BIAA) ensures that the informational assets of the OHSU enterprise are leveraged to enhance financial, clinical, operational, and research decision-making. Function/Duties of Position This position will support reporting and analytics needs for OHSU's Primary Care and Family Medicine practices, focusing on key data domains that inform clinical operations, access, and quality improvement. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a variety of business intelligence solutions for reporting on and accessing healthcare information. These solutions will be focused in Epic Cogito Analytics, Microsoft Azure, and SAP Business Objects. Epic Cogito Analytics development includes: Reporting Workbench, CER Rules, PAF Column Creation, Radar Dashboards, Analytic Registries and SlicerDicer. Microsoft Azure development includes: PowerBI. Position Overview
The Business Intelligence Analyst supports the mission of OCHIN by designing, developing, testing, documenting, maintaining, and troubleshooting reports across a broad platform of business intelligence tools. As a member of OCHIN's Population Health/Reporting Analytics department, the Business Intelligence Analyst role supports the full lifecycle of projects, particularly the requirements definitions, quality assurance testing and user acceptance testing phases of projects. Essential Duties
- Responsible for the execution of full reporting lifecycle from design, development, testing, documentation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Complete work towards closing tickets, including triage, research, and communication with OCHIN members
- Develop and update technical documentation for reporting systems
- Work and manage JIRA tickets independently
- Lead and drive requirement gathering meetings with experts in a variety of fields and define systems scope and objectives of business requirements, including documentation of requirements (i.e. use cases) and relevant translation into system requirement specifications
- Display knowledge of the underlying language of OCHIN's data systems and OCHIN's business intelligence toolset (SSMS, Epic Cogito (Radar and Workbench), Business Objects, Crystal Reports)

Job Summary
This position is responsible for curating data and producing data products from health outcomes, quality of care, operational data, financial information analysis, and/or health care utilization studies by designing and creating state of the art enterprise Tableau dashboards and by automating data pipelines and analysis methods. The core function of this position is to build robust data products for analytical consumption to support actionable decision making by end users and reduce the need for ad-hoc analysis requests. The position collaborates closely with subject matter experts to gather requirements from users, design solutions, and use Tableau and automation skills to develop, test, and deploy data products. In addition, the position is a leader when needed to identify new development and analyst tools to self-learn, build governance processes, implement, and then support other analysts on company use and adoption.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify opportunities for building repeatable data products.
- Gather requirements and design solutions.
- Expertly utilize visualization tools such as Tableau to build dashboards compliant with design standards.
- Build enterprise external facing dashboards with row level security applied.
- Expertly utilize SQL skills for identifying and shaping data for developing solutions.
- Utilize automation and general programming skills to automate data pipelines and handsfree operations of data products.
- Understand and codify algorithms and models developed by Healthcare Analysts.
- As appropriate, create new algorithms and analysis models and codify them.
- Prepare reports, graphs, tables, and other summarizations that are complete, thorough, and easily understood by those receiving and/or reviewing the information.
- Create user and testing documentation for data products.
- Create and maintain technical documentation such as data dictionaries, business glossaries, metric definitions, and other data resources.
- Update and maintain legacy reporting assets developed in SQL Server Reporting Server as needed.
- Effectively collaborate with other teams within the organization to develop strong data pipelines and reusable data products.
- Remain current with technology and the latest analytical methods; continually learn new skills.
- Contribute and actively participate in community of practice and other related analytic committees and workgroups to improve skills and capabilities of all analysts at CareOregon.
- Participate in code reviews and other activities to ensure the high standard of quality is maintained.
- Work towards becoming a subject matter expert in CareOregon analytic tools and applications to provide testing and support for our analytic community.

Experience and/or Education
Required
Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration or Management Information Systems or related field and 5 years of experience in health and telecom sector, BI reporting, data intelligence and data quality. Experience can be gained concurrently.

**Skills and Abilities:**
Strong knowledge of corporate governance practices, organization design principles, accounting principles, finance, supply chain management, and organization management. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to understand highly complex technical, professional and business materials.
**Background Check and Drug Testing Information:**
CDM Smith Inc. and its divisions and subsidiaries (hereafter collectively referred to as "CDM Smith") reserves the right to require background checks including criminal, employment, education, licensure, etc. as well as credit and motor vehicle when applicable for certain positions. $90,605
**Pay Range Maximum:**
$158,579
**Additional Compensation:**
All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.

An appropriate and valid driver's license is required.
