Snowflake Administrator
**What does a successful Snowflake Administrator do at Fiserv?**
You will become a part of our data engineering team within the Fiserv Merchant Solutions Technology sector, specifically focusing on the Merchant Reporting Business. You will be included in the Snowflake administration team and tasked with managing the Snowflake database as well as supporting various teams within the Merchant Solutions group. You will assist applications in loading data in real-time, near real-time, and end-of-day files, with UI and API applications utilizing Snowflake as their backend database. Our database has a total capacity of 1.5PB, and you will work with tables that surpass 100TB in size.
This dynamic environment will demand that you are a proactive critical problem solver who can maintain platform stability and resilience while applying modern engineering practices and solutions.
**What you will do:**
+ Deploy, configure, and administer Snowflake environments
+ Monitor and optimize Snowflake performance, storage, and query execution
+ Automate maintenance and administration tasks using SQL, Python, or Shell scripting
+ Integrate Snowflake with AWS S3, Glue, Lambda, and other cloud services
+ Manage external stages and storage integrations for seamless data movement
+ Monitor security logs and implement audit controls for data protection
+ Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, query performance, and connectivity issues
+ Establish monitoring, alerts, and proactive issue resolution strategies
**What you will need to have:**
+ 6+ years of professional experience in software development
+ 4+ years of experience in Snowflake (big data cloud database), writing efficient queries, as well as reading and understanding the query plans and writing stored procedures and functions
+ 4+ years of experience in Snowflake administration
+ 4+ years of experience as a database administer in Oracle, MySQL or DB2
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, or military experience

+ Experience in payments/financial domain
+ Experience in PCF or related cloud platform or API Management

We are hiring for a DevOps DBA Engineer who will improve and maintain software development and database design, test and deliver infrastructure and services.
**About the Role:**
+ You will work closely with the development teams, follow DevOps practices, automate infrastructure activities, documents standards and procedures.
+ Design and manage PostgreSQL (self hosted and Aurora), and Greenplum, and similar DB clusters, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery resilience.

+ Works collaboratively to support the installation, creation, configuration, implementation, administration and support of Zebra's database-based applications and other SQL Server databases.
+ Performs L2/L3 support activities (including backup and recovery) and operations including, availability of databases and applications that are implemented to support Zebra's business tool, while tuning applications and databases for optimal performance.
+ Identifies and implements innovative ideas, including automation of regular tasks to optimize and enhance database operations.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relative education required.
+ Minimum 3+ years of work experience.

+ Ability to participate in 24X7 on-call rotation Production Support or non-production support (i.e. development, demo, etc.) for business requirements REQUIRED.
