Job Description

This role will Assist driver with onsite segregation of waste and packaging and videotaping and destruction of DEA Controls.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Act as a witness at customer locations where DEA controlled substances are involved.
• Ride along with a CDL Driver to assist with duties at their stops.
• Video the destruction process of DEA controlled substances and upload video into employer system.
• Requires up to 75% overnight travel based on routes
• Load containers and supplies to truck for daily service stops
• May assist in maintaining inventory and storage of hazardous materials in accordance with appropriate regulations and policies, practices, and procedures.
• Follow all Health & Safety/Job Safety Analysis (JSA's) procedures as outlined in procedures and policies.
• Complete paperwork legibly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
• Performs related work and additional duties as requested or assigned by supervisor/manager.
• Regular contact with external customers and different levels of personnel on a daily basis.

Education/Certification/Experience:

The Driver Assistant DEA will work along an Environmental Driver Specialist. The Driver Assistant DEA will act as a witness to the packaging, videotaping, and destruction of DEA waste. Assistant will also help in other areas when needed including the segregation of waste, completion of paperwork, management of inventory, and working in warehouse.

**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Monitor the use of DEA 222 order forms and electronic forms (CSOS) for compliance with DEA requirements. Assist with the development and revision of procedures to ensure accurate documentation, traceability, and accountability as it relates to controlled dangerous substances (CDS) to minimize the risk of diversion
+ Review cycle count audits of finished goods inventory, investigate inventory discrepancies and in-transit losses, and report findings to the DEA as necessary and ensure process improvements
+ Oversee shipments associated with controlled substances and ensure their appropriate receipt process and storage by DHL operations
+ Audit DHL operations associated with handling and storage of the controlled substances and oversee their improvement and gap closure activities
+ Manage, prepare and submit periodic reports for the DEA including ARCOS Reporting and Year End Reports (YEARS)
+ Oversee annual procurement quota and submit for additional quota if required
+ Provide support with DEA audits both internally and externally to ensure that established procedures are being followed and documented, required reports are being filed, and inventories are reconciled
+ Carry out duties in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations and guidelines including FDA, DEA, EMA, EPA and OSHA
+ Successfully complete regulatory and job training requirements; remain current in skills and review industry trends

**Education and Job Qualifications:**

Responsibilities

• Receives, gathers, analyzes, and organizes information from multiple sources.
• Ensures completeness of received information and reconciles inconsistencies.
• Accurately enters required data into one or more databases, documents, or spreadsheets.
• Establishes and maintains physical files.
• Keeps track of case file status in order to ensure compliance with established deadlines.
• Coordinates requests for additional information as needed.
• Selects relevant information from a variety of sources in order to prepare documents, reports, summaries, and replies to inquiries, ensuring accuracy and proper format of the information provided.
• Performs word processing relevant to case.
• Provides accurate and timely status updates.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED, Undergraduate degree preferred
• Ability to grasp and understand the organization and functions of the customer
• Meticulous data entry skills
• Excellent communication skills; oral and written
• Competence to review, interpret, and evaluate complex legal and non-legal documents
• Attention to detail and the ability to read and follow directions is extremely important
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and other common software applications, to include databases, intermediate skills preferred
• Proven commitment and competence to provide excellent customer service; positive and flexible
• Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a professional disposition

This position requires U.S. Citizenship and a 7 (or 10) year minimum background investigation.
