I. Position Summary
The Transportation Driver, CDL, is a key member of the team at Hebrew SeniorLife, providing essential transportation services for a diverse community of older adults, including those living independently, in assisted living, or within the healthcare center. The driver plays an important role in supporting a comprehensive transportation program, which includes a 7-day-a-week, 19-hour-a-day employee shuttle service, on-demand transportation within our 160+ acre community, resident medical appointments, field trips for assisted and independent living residents, and other miscellaneous trips, such as shopping and memorial services.
Drivers are responsible for ensuring personal and passenger safety, strictly adhering to all traffic laws on and off campus, maintaining punctuality, and preparing vehicles ahead of time, particularly during extreme weather conditions. They should provide a positive experience for all passengers and maintain a high standard of service that aligns with the mission of Hebrew SeniorLife.

- Obtain BLS, EMT, or First Responder certification within six months of hire, certifications provided in-house (recommended).

- Be creative and proactive while maintaining discipline and focus in managing workload and priorities.

- Assist residents with mobility aids, such as wheelchairs and walkers, in boarding and exiting transportation vehicles.
- Follow written requisitions or verbal instructions to complete tasks.
- Prioritize work requests based on urgency.
- Follow standard safety regulations at all times.
- Ensure all passengers, including employees and private caregivers, are properly dropped off and screened at main entrances.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the Transportation Coordinator or Security Administration Report any unsafe or broken equipment immediately to the supervisor.
- Prioritize customer service to ensure residents and families receive high-quality care in a safe, compassionate environment.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of all facility and patient-related information in accordance with HIPAA.
- Be available for emergency call-ins as required.
- Arrive 30 minutes before a scheduled trip to prepare the vehicle, especially in extreme weather conditions (e.g., snowstorms).
- Record starting and ending mileage and times on a daily sheet.
- Ensure all required vehicle inspections are performed annually.
- Cover all scheduled trips; if unable to do so, notify the Transportation Coordinator or Security Administration
- Report any vehicle issues or needed repairs to the Transportation Coordinator or Security Administration
- Use the phone only when necessary and vehicle is not in active service; no personal calls are allowed.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Schedule all vehicle maintenance and inspections.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle fleet.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Massachusetts Driver's License with CDL Class C or higher and passenger endorsement.
- Excellent driving record with a clean accident history, as documented by the Registry of Motor Vehicles.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Minimum of three years of related work experience.
- Motivated to learn and flexible to adapt to changes in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Computer literacy, including experience with databases, Windows, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to lift, pull, or push up to fifty pounds.

What you'll do:
- Drive company trucks to designated sprayer or fertilizer order, safely and accurately
- Complete and maintain records as required by the company and government regulations
- Pick up and deliver product to customers as needed
- Load or assist in loading trailer with materials
- Unload or assist in unloading trailerof bulk chemical and fertilizer at the facility, safely and efficientlyby using forklift or hand truck
- Keep abreast of the dangers and hazards of products and take properprecaution
- Able to perform all responsibilities safely and efficiently
- Clean and conduct proper maintenance on equipment
- Other duties as assigned
What you'll bring:
- High School diploma
- Driving experience preferred
- Valid driver's license & applicable endorsements
- A CDLrequired;hazmat endorsementpreferred
- Must meet minimum DOT agerequirement
- Able to lift/carry up to 75lbs
- Must pass pre-employment drug and background screen
- Must meet DOT and company requirements
- Able to work additional hours to meet businessneeds
Compensation & Benefits:

$18-$21/hour.This range is estimated for CO.Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.
Our benefit package provides paid sick days. However, given the temporary nature of this role, this position does not participate in any other benefit, retirement savings or paid time off programs, nor any form of incentive compensation. This position is eligible for overtime and any pay elements required under local, state or federal law. Nutrien will comply with benefit and retirement regulations.
