Position Description
We are looking fortruck and trailer drivers to deliver and distribute Mutual Materials product throughout the Puget Sound region, primarily along the I-5 corridor.
Primary duties include the loading, unloading and delivery of Mutual Materials products, in a truck and trailer combination, to customers in a safe and efficient manner, as well as verifying product delivery counts and paperwork; there is no tarping - straps only. Unloading of product involves use of a moffett or forklift 100% of the time. As a member of our distribution and delivery team, promoting positive customer relations is a critical part of this position.
This position works 8 hours 5 days Monday through Friday. Rate of pay increases at 6 months and full scale is reached at 12 months per the CBA. Any shift worked on non-scheduled day (Saturday and Sunday) is paid at OT rate. This is a union position. Pay, Benefits, Seniority, etc. are negotiated under a CBA with Teamsters Local 117.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- The qualified candidate will have a current class "A" CDL license and will satisfactorily complete all Federal DOT requirements.
- Good verbal communication skills; previous customer service experience is a plus.
- Able to lift up to 75 pounds on occasion and have the ability to work independently, but also as part of a fast-paced distribution team.
- Prior knowledge of Mutual Materialsproductsand the ability to operate a Forklift is a plus. Must be willing and able to work overtime.
- This is a union position, and all new hires will be required to join the union under Teamsters Local 117 within thirty days of employment.
