The General Dentists will provide professional service, instruction, and supervision to U.S. Coast Guard locations. The individual shall perform a full range of General Dentistry services on-site, to a variety of patients.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Detailed history, testing, and examination.
  • Diagnostic, preventive, restorative, endodontic, and periodontal initial therapy services.
  • Fixed and removable prosthetics; and oral surgery services.
  • Case consultation with referring Dental Officer.
  • Treatment plan recommendation and review.
  • Participate in the Health Services Quality Improvement Program.
  • Provide instruction to clinic staff on an ad hoc basis.
  • Provide immediate evaluation and management of emergent problems as they occur in addition to regularly scheduled appointments.
  • Procedures necessary for relief of dental pain, swelling, and infection without endangering the overall health of the patient.
  • The repair of dental prostheses where lack of such repair would cause the patient suffering.
REQUIREMENTS

The provider of Dental services shall possess and maintain the following.
  • A diploma from an accredited school of Dentistry.
  • A current unrestricted active license to practice Dentistry from one of the 50 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U. S. Virgin Islands.
  • A Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certification.
  • "No unfavorable information on file" rating with the National Practitioners Data Bank (NPDB).
  • A current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) for the Health Care Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI), or the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).
  • A minimum of two (2) years of recent experience (immediately preceding the submission of this offer).
Credential Review:

Before commencement of this agreement, the Contractor shall submit the following credentials to be reviewed for technical acceptability.
  • A current curriculum vitae including AT LEAST the following information:
  • Degrees earned.
  • Career History.
  • Awards and certifications received.
  • Professional Training/Courses attended in the past two (2) years.

We did this to give you a fast, simple way to quickly reply to a thread. However, don't expect all the bells and whistles on this new Quick Reply feature. To help you stay better connected with the topics you're interested in, we expanded our notification system to notify you when an inactive thread that you've participated on becomes active again. These New Activity emails are sent when there is new activity on a topic that has been dormant for 30 days or more. Of course, as with all our other notifications, you can opt out of this new feature from your Profile page if you don't want to receive these emails. 06/28/23

In our latest update we expanded on our Thumbs Up message board feature (indicating you liked a post), to allow members to also give a Thumbs Down to posts.
