Job Description

QTS' summer internship program will provide you first hand experience into the fast paced world of the data center industry by providing weekly lunch and learns, a comprehensive orientation program, and site based activities, socials and volunteering events. Every intern will be assigned initiatives tied to real QTS objectives helping with anything pertaining to the whole life-cycle of a data center build and/or company operations.
The **Interior Design Projects Intern** will be immersed in a variety of responsibilities around planning, monitoring, and executing office interior design projects. Roles and responsibilities will include but aren't limited to:
**Interior Design Responsibilities:**
+ Assist Interiors team with day-to-day activities and responsibilities
+ Assist in maintaining updated budgets, schedules, and status reports for a given project(s).
+ Assist with internal coordination and administration for contracts, purchase orders, change orders and new project requests.
+ Assist with updates on development program & project status on a bi-weekly basis suitable for executive level reviews.
+ Assist with scopes of work for design, construction, commissioning services & participate in procurement and project cost estimates
+ Assist with monitoring project budget / cost-to-date against overall project budget.
+ Work with the internal development team to enhance project management processes and protocols
**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Civil Engineering or a related field.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint for presentations and Excel for data analysis and budgeting.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Job Summary:
In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this director position is also responsible for all phases of the design and/or construction process of highly complex construction and/or refurbishment projects, or series of projects, generally in excess of $250 million in cumulative budget responsibility; defining project parameters in terms of time, money, physical objectives and outside constraints; guiding the work of project team(s) comprised of facility personnel, project staff, general contractors, and internal/external consultants; directing team(s) in establishing scope, budget and schedule, and maintains such commitments through design, construction, and close-out processes; and ensuring KP goals for client service are continuously met through the design and construction process.
This role is also responsible for providing direction and guidance during all design stages of medical and/or regional facilities, including overseeing economic comparisons of development schemes and recommending options in conformance to master plan; negotiating fees, and approving consultant and contractor invoices and change orders; negotiating with local and state jurisdictions; directing the timely procurement of all permits required by regulatory authorities; and overseeing on-site design and/or construction teams, and communicating goals and program status with KP leadership.

About the Role

This leader will be responsible for cultivating a vision for how the portfolio of brands manifest across surfaces and integrated channels, guiding our internal and external agency. This role should aim to develop timeless brands, elevate and raise the quality of design work, demonstrate advocacy for design-led experiences and systems. You will have a background in brand architecture, craft and design thinking, and a proven track record of leading integrated efforts. You thrive and create a vision for work in time sensitive, iterative, unstructured environments. As a member of the Creative X design leadership team, you will grow our evolving design practice within consumer marketing, guiding the broader team to redefine how design is experienced.
**Required Skills:**
Creative Director, Design Responsibilities:
1. Define and lead the design vision for a horizontal cross-portfolio of brands in Marketing and Consumer Marketing, including Meta, Meta AI, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp
2. Lead a team and work hands-on to develop original, breakthrough brand systems, behaviors and design solutions that serve a global audience
3. Elevate and raise the quality of design craft
4. Inspire, enable and energize a industry-leading design team, and cultivate a creative work environment
5. Advocate for design thinking, solutions and consistency for the brand design, brand expression, campaign design and brand activations
6. Work seamlessly across organizational structures, partnering with Marketing, Product and Business leadership to develop holistic brand systems
**Minimum Qualifications:**

7. 12+ years experience in design, building consumer brands globally
8. 5+ years of demonstrated people management experience coaching and developing team members
9. Experience building timeless brands through brand architecture
10. Experience with design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
11. Experience leading integrated design work: traditional, product and experiential
12. Experience manifesting strategy through brand and campaign design
13. Experience managing and leading work within an agency, or similar environment
14. Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners at all levels in a variety of disciplines
15. Experience partnering with and influencing Chief Marketing Officers and other executive stakeholders
16. Experience hiring talent and developing design teams
17. Bachelors degree in a creative or similar discipline, or equivalent work experience
