Position Summary:
Application Developer position will provide leadership for all system-related matters for Protective Coatings and interact directly with internal customers to address ERP Business System issues including programming, report writing and data analysis. This position will work closely with the Operations, Sales, Purchasing, Maintenance, Engineering, Human Resources, Quality and Finance groups to ensure that all necessary data is available to meet business needs. Understanding business functions and processes is also critical in this role.

The Application Developer will report to the Controller and Plant Manager.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- This position is an exempt position and acts as an advisory specialist to management or the employer's customers, such as programming and software business applications.
- Analyzing detailed business/functional/technical requirements and specifications for the application.
- Coding internally developed applications and/or configuring commercial-off-the-shelf applications using programming, scripting, and database languages.
- Supporting application testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding application enhancements.
- Provide end user support for ERP system and web programming related issues.
- Candidates must be able to train and instruct others in software functionality and proper usage within the context of the business processes.

+ Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Development, or Engineering
+ Proficient in C++ 4+ years of development and/or testing experience - developing code using C++ Experience with Version Control Systems (Git)
+ Technical skills including high level understanding of software development, network systems, software test
+ Problem investigation and resolution experience in a software environment
**Desirable:**
+ Payments and/or Retail Petroleum industry experience
+ Embedded Linux x86 / ARM
+ C, Java, Assembler, Python, Bash scripting
+ Ability to promote a test-driven development approach
+ Experience using embedded tools; compilers, debuggers, JTAG, protocol analyzers, RTOS or OSes

The base compensation range for this position is $96,800 to $149,900 per year. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon a number of factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.
