The Product Development Engineer is responsible for managing all aspects of design and development for medical devices at BioHorizons in conformance with corporate procedures and FDA Quality System Regulations. These duties include developing medical device designs and prototypes, detailed specifications and design for manufacturability, design verification and validation activity. The Product Development Engineer shall possess knowledge of anatomy/physiology, biomaterials, and engineering principles to be applied to their essential duties and responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop concept designs based on design inputs
- Develop product specifications, support prototype development, create and execute testing methodologies, and maintain detailed documentation to evaluate design feasibility
- Investigate and report on industry and non-industry technologies
- Submit ideas for patent filings
- Evaluate/investigate design changes, product complaints, and non-conformances; effectively report findings and recommendations as per corporate procedures
- Support project scope development
- Generate design inputs and outputs to support the development process
- Develop Design History Files and support subsequent Regulatory submissions
- Create design verification and validation test plans and reports
- Execute design verification and validation testing
- Generate risk analysis documentation such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for new products
- Design and implement new methodologies, materials, and/or processes to bring concepts to market
- Participate in in-vitro and in-vivo studies, including animal and human evaluations as part of the development process
- Interface and collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Quality, Research and Development, Sales, Marketing, Accounting, Customer Care, and outside vendors to accomplish assigned tasks
- Present to colleagues and customers on products, device design, and applied engineering principles
- Occasional travel may be necessary
- Perform other duties as directed
Qualifications:
- Proficient in MSWindows and MSOffice applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficient in CAD design software (e.g. SolidWorks) preferred
- Ability to interact with colleagues and customers in a professional manner
- Must possess good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience/familiarity with U.S. FDA, GMP, and ISO requirements for the design controls of medical devices preferred
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree in an applicable Engineering discipline and/or combination of education and experience.

Job Description At Regions, the Software Engineer Manager oversees application development for a large or complex department within the company. This position manages strategy development to ensure the application portfolio meets current business requirements and is operational, stable, reliable, and technically mature. Improve team performance through agile methodologies, process refinement, and continuous feedback. Ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability across Salesforce solutions. Technical Contribution (25%) Provide architectural oversight for key Salesforce solutions, including integrations and data flows. Guide the team in designing and implementing: Salesforce architecture and data models OmniScript development API design and integration AWS Lambda-based services supporting Salesforce workflows Maintain technical excellence across codebases and platforms. Needed/Preferred 7+ years of experience in Salesforce development and architecture. 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams, preferably in an enterprise or high-growth environment. **Job Description:**
At Regions, the Software Engineer oversees application development, modification, and maintenance of applications. This position monitors system applications, ensures systems run smoothly, and creates reports and other documentation outlining findings/solutions. This position sits within Regions' Technology department.
**Primary Responsibilities**
+ Oversees development and installation of new hardware and software
+ Installs and configures systems and other software
+ Tests installed software for malfunction detection
+ Identifies and resolves business systems issues
+ Designs and deploys new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operation systems
+ Measures effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems
+ Develops and implements strategies to improve systems
+ Monitors and tests system performance
+ Typically has full ownership of a process
+ May act as a procedural expert
+ May lead the work of junior level associates
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
**Requirements**
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
+ Five (5) years of experience

+ Ability to collaborate with programmers, developers, and other technology professionals to achieve a common objective
+ Ability to conduct system analysis to detect issues with performance
+ Ability to develop and implement technology solutions to resolve technical challenges
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

+ Thorough understanding of software structures, hardware, computing systems and how to integrate them

+ Minimum of 3 Years of experience working on the ARGO platform
+ At least 2 years working on the ARGO browser (BCF) applications such as Sales and Service
+ Experience developing other web-based applications may be considered in lieu of ARGO-specific browser applications (BCF), although experience with the ARGO platform is still a requirement
+ Working knowledge of the ARGO platform. Candidate must be able to understand request/response message flow for a client/n-tier application, various processes involved, and how to debug them.
+ Experience in connecting ARGO platforms with external resources using NetBridge or other ARGO-specific methods
+ Strong working experience of software development, and the software development lifecycle from coding, testing, and deployment
+ Ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently
+ Excellent communication skills, and ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical parties
+ C# .NET experience a plus
+ MS SQL experience a plus
**This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future** . Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. The locations available for this role are **Birmingham, AL, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC.**
