**Responsibilities of the Job (Or Better Known as, Your Next Destination)**
Responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and performing advanced vehicle repairs and maintenance, performing emissions testing (state inspections were applicable), vehicle movement, inventory management, repair documentation, and computer utilization.
+ Perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on multiple makes and models of DriveTime inventory vehicles.
+ Explain automotive repairs and issues to management to minimize re-work and delays in production.
+ Proper documentation of all work performed in DT systems.
+ Keep area clean and organized to maintain highest level of safety and compliance.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (The Good Stuff)**
+ Must be proficient in automotive repairs.
+ Must be able to trouble shoot basic automotive concerns.
+ Must be able to communicate the causes and recommended corrections for vehicle issue.
+ Must be able to meet metric performance targets.
+ Must be able to learn and operate basic computer systems.

+ Must maintain a safe and compliant work space.

The Automotive Technician plays a pivotal role within our automotive service team. As a vital member, you learn and develop foundational skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles. Under the guidance of experienced technicians, this role involves hands-on learning to address various automotive systems and services. Automotive Technicians participate in routine inspections, contribute to vehicle assessments, and assist in repair procedures. Additionally, Automotive Technicians may interact with customers to explain repair procedures, answer inquiries, and provide exceptional service. Overall, this role demands a combination of mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment. + Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.

**General Description:**
As an Automotive Technician in one of Just Tires centers, you will be responsible to professionally inspect, diagnose and repair tire and conduct automotive services, while delivering an excellent guest experience. **Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:**
+ Perform line technician services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, problem solving ability with full automotive troubleshooting and testing, including
+ Brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and advanced fuel ignition, electrical, air conditioning, computer systems, power-train management systems, road tests for diagnosis, and service recommendations
+ Road test vehicles after repairs are complete to ensure mechanical soundness and to determine whether any other problems exist

**Position Summary**

The Senior Technician position requires your talent and technical expertise to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, while using your leadership and mentoring skills in driving a team toward increased customer care and satisfaction.
Pay Range: 22.00 - 33.47
Our technicians enjoy a performance-based compensation model known as flat-rate pay. This system rewards our skilled professionals with a predetermined amount for each eligible task, fostering a culture of efficiency and swift task accomplishment, ensuring you're fairly rewarded for your expertise and dedication. These rates reflect average productivity by region.
**Responsibilities**
+ Diagnose and repair to specifications - brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
+ Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
+ Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous _paid_ formal training.
+ Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
+ Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least three of A1 - A8 within first two years of employment (Tests and registrations fees are paid for by company pass or fail. Technicians receive bonus for each test passed)
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
+ Demonstrated skill in brakes and hydraulics systems and/or steering & suspension and alignments
+ Skilled in general automotive maintenance & tire repair
+ Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
+ Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
+ Reading, writing and math skills.
