The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for the incoming and outgoing of materials, reagents, instruments or equipment to meet customer expectations which involve receiving, shipping, and inventory/material control. Performs manual and/or clerical duties that may utilize various systems / WMS involved in receipt or preparation of materials for shipment. Performs a wide variety of planning, scheduling, coordinating and reporting tasks in support of the manufacturing workflow. Coordinates and monitors workflow, assisting in scheduling and prioritizing activities in assigned distribution area. Maintains compliance with relevant local, country and international guidelines. May have responsibility for fulfillment administration and processes).
This position reports to the Operations Manager and is part of the Distribution Team located in Hebron ,Kentucky and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction in a Lean environment.
+ Coordinating with other Supervisors to build and execute productivity plans by reviewing work volume forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering to balance labor across the facility.
+ Communicating policies to associates and act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency, and taking corrective action when required
+ Performing root cause analysis using the problem-solving process and 5 Why's to develop a logical solution
+ Providing performance feedback and development opportunities to direct reports. This should be done by holding monthly 1 on 1 meetings with associates using the Danaher standard form.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ High School Diploma with 8+ yrs experience, Bachelors with 5+yrs, or Masters with 3+ yrs experience
+ 2+ years experience leading a team of 15+ associates in a warehouse environment.
+ Experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS), preferably Oracle
+ Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office applications
+ Lean/Six Sigma experience in a Continuous Improvement Environment.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Experienced & qualified to thrive in an ambiguous environment with little support or guidance

- Establish and maintain housekeeping and sanitation practices consistent with the requirements of federal, state and local regulations. Conduct monthly inspections to ensure compliance
- Assist the Manager in the evaluation of warehouse duties in areas of shipping, receiving, order selecting and clerical and make recommendations to reduce non-productive effort in order to increase productivity
- Select, hire, train and appraise warehouse personnel to attain the highest standards of service and optimum productivity levels. Assure compliance with all published instructions and procedures related to warehousing matters through regular meetings to cover safety, GMPs, etc.
- Ensures inventory accuracy by providing for the routine completion of location audits, ensures outbound orders are audited outside of customer specific requirements, investigates order shipping errors and develops corrective actions where required. Oversee the scheduling of all inbound and outbound shipments, maintain logs and prepare documents as necessary. Direct the work of shipping office clerical staff
- Responsible for following all food safety policies, procedures and regulatory criteria including the current SQF code, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and associated preventive controls

**How You'll Make an Impact**
Te **Distribution Supervisor** will manage the daily responsibilities of shipping and receiving. In addition to the shipping/receiving responsibilities, this role will cover PTO for the shipping coordinator and manager while working closely with the plant to support the daily operations.
**Responsibilities Include**
+ Lead daily cycle count processes and investigate inventory discrepancies to ensure data accuracy.
+ Reconcile inventory records in coordination with warehouse operations and the logistics team.
+ Maintain and generate inventory reports to support operational planning and decision-making.
+ Act as the primary point of contact for inventory-related inquiries from internal teams including customer service, logistics, and operations.
+ Participate in regular communication with the Plant Manager and Distribution Supervisor regarding inventory status, issues, and improvements.
+ Support outbound shipping activities as needed, ensuring alignment with inventory and order systems.
+ Process and document returns, scrap, and rework, including coordinating associated shipments
+ Manage inventory-related components of customer complaints, including claims, adjustments, and disposition of affected materials.
+ Provide general administrative support to site leadership, including payroll review and approval.
**What You'll Need**
+ Coordinate with the warehouse staff, assign duties, housekeeping, organizing the warehouse, troubleshoot scanner issues, schedule filling of totes and work closely with the shipping coordinator and facility manager.
+ Manage plant leaker program. Coordinate with the plant to schedule reuse and repacks.
+ Run morning Toolbox meetings, attend plant scheduling calls, participate in weekly Gemba walks and support the Engagement walks. Lead the EHS requirements of the shipping/receiving warehouse
+ Backup specific duties to cover PTO of the office admin/shipping coordinator and certain duties of the facility managers.
+ Responsible for the completion and accuracy of cycle counting for the shipping/receiving warehouse
+ Employees must support Valvoline's RC 14001 and ISO 9001 certifications by being a part of training, regulated processes, and audits.
+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
+ Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is highly preferred.
+ Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced distribution environment.
+ May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
+ Must be able to sit/stand/kneel for long periods of time, bend/squat for lifting, climb stairs & ladders
+ Travel Requirements: 0-10%

Distribution Supervisor
Lead in dynamic environment as Supervisor, Distribution in Fair Lawn, NJ. Make impact on supply chain operations at global scientific research leader.
Key Responsibilities
+ Lead and manage daily warehouse and distribution activities, including inbound receipts, internal inventory transfers, inventory replenishments, and staging for outbound shipment to Bridgewater.
+ Ensure daily cycle counts are completed accurately and that inventory control processes are followed to maintain data integrity.
+ Maintain alignment with Fair Lawn site leadership to complete site-level directives and compliance requirements.
+ Collaborate closely with off-site Sr. Manager of Distribution and cross-functional teams including Planning, Purchasing, Operations, Quality, Safety, and IT.
+ Act as a key contact for Fair Lawn distribution operations within the broader global distribution network.
+ Participate in and support Controlled Substance Program and DEA compliance initiatives.
+ Boost performance by emphasizing important metrics and standardized processes; maintain visibility of performance through daily management boards and reporting.
+ Foster a culture of safety, compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
+ Mentor and develop team members, resolve personnel issues, and support training and development.
+ Partner with IT to support system improvements that boost inventory flow and operational efficiency.
+ Prepare and communicate distribution reports on service levels, costs, and improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse/distribution operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
+ Experience managing teams with both union and non-union employees is preferred.
+ Strong understanding of inventory management, warehouse operations, and standard methodologies in supply chain management.
+ Experience working with ERP systems
+ Knowledge of DEA regulatory compliance or Controlled Substance programs is a plus.
+ Proven ability to lead and influence in a matrixed organization.
+ Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to get results, lead change, and foster team engagement.
+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain, or other related subject area preferred.
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
