We are seeking an experienced and results-driven **Director of Supply Chain Enabling** to support the Direct Materials supply chain at Western Digital. **Job Description**
The **Senior Supply Chain Account Manager** will play a pivotal role in managing key supplier relationships, driving strategic sourcing initiatives, and ensuring cost-effective procurement across specific commodity categories. This is a principal level individual contributor role focused specifically on unique Hard Disk Drive technologies, reporting to the Sr. Director of Strategic Sourcing for Heads & Media. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, cost reduction strategies, and commodity market analysis. This individual will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to optimize the end-to-end supply chain, maintain supply continuity, and enhance supplier performance. **Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Commodity Strategy Development:** Lead the development and execution of commodity-specific sourcing strategies to ensure the availability of high-quality, cost-effective materials.
+ **Supplier Management:** Manages strategic supplier relationships at an executive level, while driving value through strategic sourcing decisions. Aligns philosophical business partnership and working model across executive leadership at both companies. **Responsibilities**
This role is responsible for all supply chain activities related to the support of external manufacturing as defined in the Global Contract Manufacturing Standards where Manufacturing is responsible for Supply Chain management.
The role acts as process leader of Supply Chain for one or more Contract Manufacturer (CM) relationships. The role is a member of the Joint Process Team (JPT) and has responsibility for the oversight across the supply chain for supply of Lilly products from the CM. This CM partner could provide packaging, drug products and/or drug substance services.
The Supply Chain Associate is responsible, in line with OSSCE standards, for forecast, planning, data maintenance, capacity management, order management (where applicable) and sharing information with key stakeholders.
Demonstrated understanding of Lilly Supply Chain processes and systems is needed.
**Key Objectives/Deliverables:**
+ Support on-going CM Operations by providing technical oversight into the Joint Process Team.
+ The Supply Chain Associate in the process team has proficient knowledge with regards to the supply chain of finish/semifinished products and/or raw material and components within the scope of the process team including:
+ Review product demand and develop monthly demand consolidation and forecasts.
+ Partner with the Supply Chain team to drive an appropriate S&OP process with the CM and manage inputs into Lilly internal S&OP processes.
+ Manage supply, batch release and shipment schedules to ensure supply meets customer needs and CM functions can plan appropriate resources.
+ Define, track, and ensure customer service targets for products are set and met.
+ Use OSSCE processes and metrics to analyze supply chain performance, define root causes, drive improvement, and maintain OSSCE Class A performance.
+ Track, prepare, and present customer service metrics to drive results and identify improvement areas.
+ Work with CMs to monitor and agree on appropriate schedules to meet Lilly purchase order due dates.
+ Communicate supply issues to JPT Leader and CM's and Operations Team, when appropriate.
+ Partner with the Supply Chain team to drive an appropriate S&OP process with the CM and manage inputs into Lilly internal S&OP processes.
+ The Supply Chain Associate is responsible for Inventory Management
+ Monitor inventory levels of raw materials for supply requirements.
+ Lead the inventory target creation, review, and performance of slow-moving obsolete inventory.
+ Work with internal customers and CMs related to forecast accuracy, inventory management, and supply chain issues. Ensure proper coordination between Lilly networks, the required components, and the product suppliers.
**Procurement:**
+ Serve as a liaison with Global Procurement, Global Materials, Suppliers, Manufacturing, and/or Service Providers for procurement coordination.
+ Perform tasks in SAP (e.g. Create Purchase Orders, review inventory, manage procurement master data requests).
+ The Supply Chain Associate in the joint process team should provide support to management of daily operations by:
+ Support/own investigations for deviations in the JPTs as required
+ Support/owns responsible for change control in the JPTs as required
+ Initiate trouble tickets/changes related to materials and/or SAP system; work with team members to resolve issues and implement changes.
+ Assist Quality personnel in the timely completion of, SCR Quality Agreement, as necessary.
+ Assist to the CMs and Quality on the preparation of any audit from Lilly (GQAAC) or any external agency that impact Lilly products.
+ Owning change controls for SKUs additions and deletions.
+ Management of Lilly supplied materials/components (if applicable).
+ Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the manufacturing Responsibilities Document (MRD) where applicable.
**Relationship with CMO:**
+ Make regular communication with and visits to External Manufacturers to ensure current awareness of their operations and to maintain a strong working relationship with External Manufacturers, and the local affiliate if necessary.
+ Identify any training needs with the External Manufacturer for supply chain systems or processes. Arrange and conduct training during site visits if necessary.
+ Assist local affiliate with management of their product portfolio as required.
**Technical Transfer Projects:**
+ Supply Chain will participate in Technical Transfer Project as required.
+ Collaborate with Technical Project Manager to ensure the appropriate supply chain and governance through the business processes.
+ Inform Supply Chain Leadership about project status, issues, etc. Identifying issues root case and recommended action plans to solve them and avoid recurrences related to supply chain.
**Continuous Improvement Activities:**
+ Assist in improvement of business practices in SAP and supplier performance.
+ Participate in implementation of future Lilly business system releases and related process updates.
+ Report metrics and develop action plans for improvements.
+ Participate in Supplier assessments.
+ Conduct product supply risk assessments and develop action plans to mitigate supply disruption.
**Relationships:**
+ All functions at the contract manufacturers especially Supply chain contacts and leadership.
+ All relevant functions at the Lilly Geneva office, Kinsale- IHL, Shared Service Centers (as required).
+ Supply chain functions at customer locations and Lilly supplying sites (e.g. Lilly finishing sites, API or semi-finished suppliers and affiliates where appropriate).
+ All relevant functions within Dry External Manufacturing and Supply Chain functions
