General Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our family of race teams as a Truck Driver. This is an essential role responsible for the transporting of our cars, equipment, and supplies to and from racetracks across the country. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Transport race cars, equipment, and supplies in a safe and timely manner.
  • Ensure meticulous care in loading and unloading cargo while protecting valuable assets.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate logistics and ensure smooth operations during race weekends.
  • Responsible for trucking department logs and paperwork including all DOT and IFTA requirements.
  • Responsible for Load Schedules, Load Lists, Manifests and Equipment Preparation and Maintenance.
  • Preparation of Wheels (including maintaining inventory) and Tire Management.
  • Conduct regular transporter inspections and maintenance to uphold the highest safety standards.
  • This position requires extensive domestic travel throughout the year (approx. 100 days per year).
  • This role may require working hours outside of the traditional "8 to 5" working environment, including nights/weekends/holidays.
Education, Knowledge, and Skills:
  • A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License is required.
  • Requires at least 3 years of driving experience and clean driving record.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
  • Knowledgeable and ability to adhere to all applicable DOT, DMV, State and Federal highway safety rules and regulations.
  • Ability to complete domestic repairs and minor renovations to the transporter when needed.

About this role:

Under direct supervision perform such duties as driving passenger vans, semi-trailer trucks, and light industrial trucks within local areas; loading and unloading trucks as required; perform routine operational checks to ensure proper functioning of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive vehicles to designated local points over approved routes, delivering and picking up parts, material and merchandise as directed

  • Blind spot trailers into dock doors

  • Load and unload trucks as required using material handling equipment available

  • Perform minor maintenance operations on vehicle to insure proper operation

Required Qualifications:

  • Have the ability to successfully complete the Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) training and assessment

Position Summary: Load and drive trucks from passenger vehicle to a 54,000 pound Flat bed, transporting material and product to and from specified destinations.

Reports to: Production Control Master Scheduler

Accountabilities: Maintaining CDL and trucks according to state and federal DOT standards. All Drivers are responsible for confirming that MTM Travelers with appropriate status are attached to cargo and that the purchase orders or shipping paperwork matches that router. Drivers are directly responsible for ensuring process, and maintaining traceability.

Level One
  • Drives any vehicle from wide-load escort vehicle to 20,000-pound Box Truck as limited by D.O.T and MTM guidelines.
  • Verify load against shipping papers.
  • Drive truck to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads in area.
  • Prepare receipts for load picked up.
  • Collect payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges.
  • Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
  • Load and unload truck.
  • Secure loads using cargo tie downs and tarps to ensure safe transportation of goods.
  • Inspect and ensure compliance of truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.
  • May perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, and spark plugs.

  • Work directly with MTM Manufacturing Team Leaders and our primary vendors to help maintain a mutually beneficial relationship.
  • Have a thorough working knowledge of D.O.T Regulations that affect his normal duties.
Job Qualification Requirements:

Educational Experience - Minimum High School diploma or GED.

Experience - Minimum of three years of commercial driving experience. CDL B required.

Physical Demands - The employee is required to:
  • stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to floor
  • exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
  • exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or
  • exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
