Your Responsibilities:
- Direct Patient Interaction: Provide compassionate and high-quality dialysis treatment to patients. You'll be responsible for gathering vital statistics before and after treatment, initiating and monitoring treatments, as well as collecting blood samples as directed by physicians.
- Technician Duties: Ensure top-quality care by preparing and maintaining dialysis machines, cleaning and disinfecting equipment post-treatment, and conducting safety checks to comply with quality control standards.
- Commitment to Safety and Quality: Adhere to safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment. Collaborate closely with the Charge Nurse to follow company policies and state/federal regulations, ensuring a safe and effective treatment environment.
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A genuine passion for healthcare and helping patients is essential.
- Prior experience in healthcare, particularly in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA, is an advantage.
- Comfortable handling and mixing acids and bicarbonate per established protocols.
- Ability to differentiate all primary colors.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of the US Renal Care training program within 8 weeks of hire, demonstrating proficiency in hemodialysis practices.
- CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire or as mandated by state regulations.
- Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained through an accredited state or national program within 18 months of hire, and maintained thereafter, adhering to any specific state requirements.
