Primary Job Function:

The Urban Gardening and Environmental Sustainability Teacher will plan and provide for appropriate learning experiences for students. Job Title: Electrical Assembler

Job Description

Join our team as an Electrical Assembler, where you will be responsible for assembling sensors utilized in the railroad industry. This role requires proficiency in soldering and the ability to interpret electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble sensors designed for railroad applications.

  • Perform soldering tasks with precision and accuracy.

  • Interpret and work with electrical schematics effectively.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards in assembly processes.

  • Collaborate with team members in a small production facility.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in soldering with at least 1 year of experience.

  • Experience in electrical assembly with at least 1 year of experience.

  • At least 2 years of production experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Forklift experience is a plus.

  • Familiarity with ISO standards.

Work Environment

Work in a clean assembly environment within a small production facility, alongside approximately 11 other team members. The setting offers a collaborative and focused atmosphere.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DUBLIN, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

Specific areas of responsibility include the following:

  • Designing electrical systems/equipment to provide for a useful and safe workplace.

  • Advise clients regarding electrical systems/requirements available to meet their needs and comply with safety codes.

  • Monitor installation of designed equipment/systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety codes.

  • Participate in developing the design criteria for protective device coordination, relay applications, medium voltage transformers, switchgear, medium and low voltage distribution.

  • Reviews electrical designs and specifications of equipment or systems being purchased or fabricated.

  • Developing concept studies and design.

  • Enforces standards and practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program. and 3 years of electrical engineering experience, consulting preferred. Required or

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. and 3 years of electrical engineering experience, consulting preferred. Required or

  • Master Degree in Electrical Engineering and 2 years of electrical engineering experience, consulting preferred. Required

  • Strong knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.

  • Proficient in standard engineering techniques and procedures.

  • Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite)

  • Strong computer skills include AutoCAD, MicroStation, 2D and 3D rendering programs and other analysis programs.

  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.Preferred Criteria

  • Data center or telecommunication facility experience.

  • Knowledge of critical facility electrical design.

  • Understanding of NFPA 70, 70E, 75, 101 and other applicable sections.

  • Ability to write specifications for electrical equipment, devices, and material.

  • Familiarity with other building systems and coordination with those systems and components.

  • EIT professional designation with ambition to attain PE license.
