**JOB SUMMARY:**
Candidates in this role will gain valuable engineering experience in the area of aircraft avionics and electrical systems including requirements capture, design, validation, troubleshooting, and qualification/certification. Working with managers and key players in Engineering, Candidates will assist in the development of crucial systems on Textron Aviation Defense and Special Missions products. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Prepare engineering drawings for avionics and electrical systems including but not limited to interface wiring diagrams and harness assemblies using computer based drafting tools (CATIA/CCD, Siemens Capital/Mentor Graphics, and/or IAI HarnesSys)Utilize electronic test equipment to verify avionics and electrical systems meet design requirements, and/or for system troubleshooting in the lab and/or on aircraftPrepare engineering trade studies, functional test procedures, certification plans, ground and flight test plans, certification reports, and other engineering documentsWrite technical descriptions of subject matter pertinent to design or test requirements. Includes descriptions of supplier parts, test or rigging specifications, etc.Evaluation and analysis of avionics and electrical system design
**Qualifications**
**EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:**
Minimum 2 years of engineering experience or relative aviation avionics and electrical systems experience. **QUALIFICATIONS:**
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience with avionics and electrical system test equipment is desired but not required.Electronic drafting experience with CATIA-CADAM Drafting (CCD), Siemens Capital/Mentor Graphics, and/or IAI HarnesSys is desired but not required.Experience with Enovia VPLM is desired but not required.Experience with RTCA DO-160 environmental qualification of aircraft avionics or electrical system components is desired but not required.Experience with avionics and electrical system design to the requirements of 14 CFR Parts 23 & 25 is desired but not required.Experience with MIL-HDBK-516 airworthiness compliance and risk assessment is desired but not required.

Other duties include performing site audits and technical account management such as managing third parties, providing technical assistance and mentoring as directed, as well as providing cybersecurity recommendations in support of ATO within the RMF system.

- Assist in conducting risk assessments and applying mitigation strategies
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

- Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and technical personnel.
- Familiarity with U.S. DoD & U.S. Air Force procedures and the Air Force Information Network (AFIN).
- A degree in a related field and a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience or a total of at least ten (10) years of relevant experience
- Enterprise storage experience in integration and migration of SAN and NAS technologies.
- Experience supporting DoD Information Network, AFIN or equivalent.
- Information Assurance (IA) Technician (IAT) Level II Certification
- A valid and current SECRET (or higher) security clearance.
- Must have two or more of the following:
- Dell/EMC Storage Area Networks and Backup storage and VMware virtualization
- Experience with ESX Server, Virtual Center, Virtual SMP, Vmotion, High Availability, Distributed Resource Scheduler and Consolidated Backup
- Experience with HP Blade system enclosure
- Commvault Simpana and EMC Data Domain software
- Experience with Brocade Fabric switching
- NCIE NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer-SAN Specialist or equivalent
- Eight (8) years of experience with Microsoft Server
- CyberArk Level 2: Defender Certification
- Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) with experience in Routers, Switches and Network Fabric or equivalent
- Cisco UCS Compute and Networking experience in a virtual environment
- Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) Data Center
- Network+
