In the role of a Physician you will provide concierge emergency medical care to Sollis Health patients in our clinics. This is a pivotal role as part of a growing organization providing seamless care to both adult and pediatric patients for cases that would usually be treated in a traditional emergency room.
Per Diem - 7a-3p or 3p-11p - 77th Street
Responsibilities
- Perform medical evaluations and formulating a differential diagnosis and treatment plan for urgent and emergent care within the scope of emergency medicine.
- Perform medical procedures that include but are not limited to obtaining IV access, phlebotomy, administering IV medications and IV fluids, and performing EKGs.
- Lead the medical management of the patients in our clinics by working closely with a team of PAs, nurses, and technicians to discuss your assessment.
- Assess and treat Covid-related cases which includes obtaining clinical samples to test for the virus, performing point of care testing , obtaining blood for antibody blood tests, providing general symptom management and recommendations.
- Document your clinical evaluation and treatment in the electronic health record, Athena Health.
- Working closely with the Medical Director and other clinical team members to ensure all policies are adhered to and that you deliver quality care in an innovative setting.
- Coordinating additional care with our After Care, and house calls teams or with one of our Medical Partners.
- Make patients and family members comfortable, patiently and professionally answering any questions they have and using patient-centered empathetic communication at all times.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related operational projects as needed.
- Perform related duties as requested.
Experience
We believe extraordinary people come from a variety of backgrounds, but ideally, we would expect that you have:
- Medical Degree from an Accredited University.
- Physician state license and ability to practice in the state of New York.
- Completion of an Emergency Medicine residency and emergency medicine board certification required.
- 2+ years experience as a physician in the emergency department and/or urgent care center after your residency required.
- DEA license required.
Skills:
To be successful in this role, candidates will demonstrate the following:
- Strong clinical skills.
- Tech savvy with the ability to use and or learn our systems including but not limited to Slack, Athena Health, Salesforce and Humanity etc.
- Superb technical skills, including phlebotomy, peripheral IV placement, medication administration.

- Comfortable with the emergency department and urgent care patients.
- Ability to be adaptable and work in a fluid, multitasking environment.
- Strong process and organizational skills.
- The ability to problem-solve and think outside of the box.
Compensation
Range: $185-$195 per hour
This is the range of pay for New York candidates only. The Department of Emergency Medicine at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln is seeking an enthusiastic physician to join the Emergency Medicine Faculty. The Emergency Medicine attending will supervise clinical activities in the emergency department during their assigned shifts. Working collaboratively with nurses, NPs, PAs, residents, and fellows, they will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and management of any patient presenting to the Emergency Department. Provision of bedside and traditional teaching of students, residents, and fellows will comprise a large component of their role. Affiliated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Jacobi EM is a main teaching site for one of the premiere Emergency Medicine residency training programs in the country, with 84 total EM residents over 4 years. Jacobi provides excellent health care to an urban population: a high-volume ACS Level 1 trauma center, a regional burn center, a primary stroke center, and a STEMI/ PCI center. Jacobi EM is responsible for running Jacobi's regional snake-bite center and a multi-person hyperbaric treatment facility that treats elective and emergency cases.
The department has active programs in ultrasound, simulation, hyperbaric, public health initiatives, global health, education, and research and is looking to recruit faculty with these subspecialty niches and others. Successful candidates will be highly committed to excellence in patient care, education and promoting scholarship to enhance the mission of the department.
