We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team on a part-time basis. Position Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for the administration and support of benefits, employment compliance, and personnel-related processes for diocesan entities. What You Will Do:
Health Benefits Administration
  • Maintain and update databases for BCBSIL, Delta Dental, EyeMed, and internal health invoicing systems.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly Schlarman Health Fund, NFP health premium invoices to all diocesan entities.
  • Assist in the administration of a Continuation of Benefits and oversee collection of monthly premiums.
  • Communicate benefit-related information to employees and business managers.
  • Organize and maintain digital and physical records of benefits, including life insurance and 403(b) beneficiaries.
Unemployment (IDES)
  • Assist diocesan entities with unemployment claims to determine eligibility and grounds for protest.
  • Track and process unemployment claims: Check database for filings and notify the HR Director of new activity.
  • Assist the HR Director with high priority claims that are handled by HR.
  • Review and approve quarterly unemployment payment balances.
  • Manage IDES account setups, changes, and terminations. Prepare and process powers of attorney and related documentation.

403(b) Retirement Plan - MassMutual
  • Assist parish and school finance managers with data submission and general inquiries regarding 403(b) plan contributions.

  • Monitor 403(b) contributions for all locations monthly.
Employment Compliance
  • Compile and accurately maintain personnel records, I-9 and other confidential employee data records, maintaining confidentiality and in accordance with HR policies and procedures and applicable laws regarding security. Audit and update records as needed.
  • Provide diocesan policies and employee handbooks to new staff; collect and archive signed acknowledgments.
  • Manage onboarding requirements including background checks, fingerprinting, and Safe Environment training compliance.
Attendance Tracking
  • Maintain attendance records for the Religious.
  • Respond to attendance balance inquiries from employees.
Other responsibilities
  • Coordinate New Employee Orientation with Payroll, Benefits, Safe Environment and other staff. Conduct Orientation as needed.
  • Assist the HR Director with duties associated with Clergymen's Aid, Inc.

Job Summary

HR interns at Caterpillar will perform challenging work while being exposed to a variety of HR functions within CAT. We work with our teams to ensure that every intern gains the appropriate professional and personal growth necessary to be successful in the corporate environment. Our interns are placed in a variety of HR specialties and locations.

Internship Program Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled full time at a 4-year University/College pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree Human Resources, Business with an emphasis in HR, or related degree at the time of application and throughout the program.

  • Minimum 3.0/4.0 Cumulative GPA (no rounding).

  • 12 completed semester hours at a 4-year university before the start of internship or currently participating in a Caterpillar student program.

  • Must be able to relocate to indicated work location for the duration of the internship and complete daily work commute using reliable transportation

Additional Information:

  • This is a 40-hour-per-week assignment, Monday through Friday, lasting 12 weeks in the summer. This position requires working onsite five days a week.

Summary Pay Range:
$22.50 - $39.00
Intern Hour Rate:

An intern's hourly rate is based on the major/degree being pursued and the number of completed academic hours achieved before the start of the internship.
