The anticipated starting salary range for individuals in this position is $48,000 - $75,000 dependent upon experience, geography, and industry knowledge.

Sphere 3 Environmental, LLC is currently seeking candidates for an Oil & Gas Inspector position based out of the Midland, Texas area. This position will be full-time with benefits. The successful applicant will travel to oil and gas production facilities and conduct a variety of inspections and data collection.
What you'll do
- Conduct and document Audio, Visual, Olfactory (AVO) inspections at oil & gas production facilities in southeast New Mexico and west Texas.
- Conduct and document Method 22 visual observations of flares and combustors.
- Utilize an Optical Gas Imaging infrared camera to inspect outdoor piping and equipment associated with oil and gas production facilities, midstream pipeline facilities, and gas plants.
- Conduct GPS field data collection and assist with other environmental projects as needed.
- Approximately 95% to 100% of your time will be spent in the field conducting field inspections and various data collection regarding site equipment and or conditions.
- Will communicate findings with Sphere 3 managers and client representatives both verbally and electronically in databases and written reports/forms
- Must have a clean driving record.
- The successful candidate must complete and pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Ability to work in the field in a variety of site conditions.
- Must be able to travel, work outside in extreme heat or cold weather conditions, and safely conduct the physical aspects of outdoor facility inspections.
- Must be able to comprehend, follow, and apply a variety of safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Must have computer skills including Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience/knowledge of upstream oil & gas processes and equipment.
- Experience/certification with Optical Gas Imaging, Method 22, and AVO inspections is a plus, but training will be provided.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Interact in a positive and professional manner with clients and other staff.
