Corrpro Companies is looking for a Commercial Manager for our Energy clients. This is a remote position and needs to be near a major airport west of the Mississippi river. Cities like Dallas, Houston, Denver, Phoenix, or San Diego.

Corrpro is a corrosion engineering, cathodic protection, and corrosion monitoring business for the protection and preservation of infrastructure. Corrpro provides professional corrosion consulting and cathodic protection engineering services to major oil companies, government agencies, municipal water, sewer and gas utilities, universities, and public transportation agencies. Corrpro Companies is a subsidiary of Azuria Water Solutions Company.

  • Will reach their sales quotas through effective management of defined assigned current and future customers, as well as assigned projects
  • Generates new orders by selling products and services across all aspects of assigned accounts
  • Define and execute sales strategies and tactics to meet or exceed annual sales plans and quotas for corrosion assessment, corrosion protection design, and testing services within pipeline, petrochemical and power company market accounts
  • Perform account planning to identify, develop, and close business opportunities in support of business plan and strategic objectives. Maintain favorable business relationships with accounts.
  • Ensure all sales activity and opportunities are up to date in Salesforce, our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. This data will feed into sales reporting, forecasting, and sales activities.
  • Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the products and services offered by Corrpro
  • Conduct sales calls and make product/service presentations to meet customer needs
  • Develop bid strategy, provide input into the estimating process, optimize pricing, and develop project teams consisting of internal and external collaborators to acquire and complete profitable projects and contracts
  • Generate and document market intelligence for assigned accounts including market size, buying practices, and decision makers
  • Provide input into development of marketing communications and product portfolio decisions
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual variance reporting to compare actual results against budgets
  • Develop trends or other ad hoc analyses to test forecast assumptions and understand risks and opportunities to the forecast
  • Attend trade shows and related conventions to promote company products and services
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physical Science, Business, Sales, Marketing, Construction or other related science fields preferred. MBA or advanced degree is an asset.
  • 5 to 7 years of related sales experience in the Department of Defense, energy, pipeline, and chemical sectors.
  • Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; drafting reports; presenting information and responding to questions
  • Experience performing arithmetic calculations and apply basic statistical concepts such as discounts, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to persuade, motivate and empower clients and co-workers to action
  • Must be a strong communicator able to take initiative and function independently
  • Experienced in dealing with individuals at all levels of an organization
  • Expertise with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Salesforce (or other CRM)
  • Must be able to travel approximately 50 - 60% or as needed

Key Qualifications & Responsibilities

Duties:
  • Manage and oversee Procurement and Expeditor team members.
  • Support business development and estimating teams by creating innovative material supply strategies for large infrastructure projects.
  • Lead material bid processes by soliciting pricing from a global supplier network.
  • Negotiate contracts with successful material supply bids.
  • Track commodity markets to identify and mitigate material risks.
  • Establish and maintain strategic vendor relationships worldwide.
  • Monitor project success by tracking forecasted, budgeted, and actual material pricing.
  • Expedite material deliveries by managing manufacturing, shipment, and receipt status.
  • Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
Required Experience & Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) industry.
  • Proven knowledge in construction contract administration, EPC procurement, and business law.
  • Experience with supplier and subcontractor prequalification, Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation, bid evaluations, contract negotiations, contract generation, vendor submittal management, and expediting oversight on EPC T&D projects.
Preferred Experience & Education:
  • Experience managing a procurement team.
  • Prior experience collaborating with engineering teams and contractors on material specifications and bill of materials reviews.
  • Strong industry relationships with vendors and subcontractors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, reporting insights to owners and business partners.

The power generation market continues to grow and evolve given strong capacity demand signals that havent existed for over a decade. As a result, our national Power Generation team is poised for monumental growth. We are seeking a qualified Senior Project Manager to help our clients develop, contract, and implement natural gas and potentially renewable energy generation projects while serving as Owners Engineer and/or Advisor.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be joining a highly capable, multi-discipline national team that supports power and energy projects within the industrial, IPP, developer, and utility power and energy industry. The Senior Project Manager will be a seller-doer who helps maintain client relationships, brings in projects, develops strategies and plans for performing the work, monitors and communicates status of the project, and leads multi-discipline project teams to successful completion of the work.

This role requires significant client interaction (from pre-positioning for the work through project completion) and strong verbal and written communication skills as needed for regular interaction with internal staff such as project team

members, marketing staff, and operations leadership. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with utility scale power generation systems including simple cycle and combined cycle plants.

Responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager include:

  • Develop and maintain positive and proactive client relationships.
  • Achieve project schedule, quality, and profitability goals.
  • Serve as proposal champion/manager and assist with proposal preparation, review of contract terms and conditions, and evaluate risks associated with the services being offered.
  • Provide daily leadership to the project team and technical staff in completion of project activities.
  • Provide regular communication and coordination within the project team and with the client such that the project work plan and the clients expectations on deliverables are understood and aligned. Monitor project deliverables for quality, completeness and conformance to the clients expectations.
  • Proactively monitor and maintain the project budget and schedule. Develop appropriate recovery plans in the event of potential shortfalls.
  • Monitor the contracted scope of work and identify scope changes.
  • Provide training and mentoring to project team staff on project management and project consulting issues.
  • Guide design or consulting work in the managers area of engineering expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering; or combination of Degree and Relevant Project Experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant power generation project experience.
  • Registered Professional Engineer
  • PMP Certification

  • Have the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
  • Demonstrated business development skills.
