  • Familiarity with lab testing tools (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, etc.).
  • Understanding of DFM/DFT/DFA best practices in a defense context.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with an attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, analyze, and validate analog, digital, and RF circuitry for embedded systems.
  • Lead PCB layout and design for high-reliability, multi-layer boards, ensuring compliance with military standards (MIL-STD) and IPC class specifications.
  • Integrate a wide range of sensors (IMUs, GPS, environmental, etc.) and communication modules (LTE, UHF, SATCOM, etc.) into embedded and modular systems.
  • Develop and integrate RF front-ends and antennas for secure communications and sensor applications.
  • Perform schematic capture, BOM generation, layout, and detailed documentation for design reviews and production.
  • Collaborate closely with firmware, mechanical, systems, and test engineers to deliver ruggedized and SWaP-optimized solutions.
  • Conduct signal integrity analysis, power distribution verification, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) assessments.
  • Support environmental and compliance testing including EMI/EMC, shock, vibration, and thermal.
  • Maintain design documentation and contribute to configuration management and version control.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience with RF circuit design, including filters, LNAs, mixers, and impedance-matched networks.
  • Knowledge of antenna design and integration for applications including GNSS, SATCOM, cellular, telemetry, etc.
  • Experience designing low power and ultra low power embedded devices
  • Hands-on experience with RF simulation tools such as CST, HFSS, or Keysight ADS.
  • Familiarity with military standards (MIL-STD) related to microelectronics
  • Background in embedded systems, microcontrollers, and interface protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet).
  • Experience in end-to-end lifecycle development for defense platforms.
