Summary: With minimal supervision, persons employed in this position are responsible for, but not limited to, assisting internal and external customers with the specification, application, and pre- and post-sales support of Cattron remote monitoring and control products. Working synergistically with sales and manufacturing to communicate and achieve customer design targets and goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Regularly attend customer meetings and provide technical support for telemetry solutions.
  • Integrate Cattron products to provide insightful and detailed design solutions.
  • Create training material and present solutions to internal and external customers, utilizing indepth product and application knowledge.
  • Collect and communicate VOC to drive product enhancements and prototype development to meet customer timelines.
  • Assist with product documentation, and marketing material creation.
  • Coordinate activities between departments to implement product development requirements.
  • Set priorities and timeline for implementation of customer projects.
  • Responsible for working with OEM engineers, Manufacturer's Representatives, Distribution Partners, End Users and Cattron Territory Sales Managers to implement solutions for existing, new and next generation products and programs.
  • Keep work skills current to insure Cattron competitiveness in a dynamic global business environment. May require extensive travel to customer sites providing design specific solutions and field support.
  • Adheres to Cattron quality and safety standards at all times.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Skilled in the application, use and implementation of remote monitoring systems in the Municipal, O&G, Industrial and Rental markets.
  • Experience with cellular, SCADA and PLC based controls.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to create and tailor training material to the technical level of the audience.
  • Exhibit understanding of the cross-functional relationships between inter-company groups and the expertise required to take VOC to product development and on to production.
  • Superior time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • Experience/knowledge of remote monitoring systems required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical field preferred.
  • 5-8 years experience in a similar position.

What Youll Be Doing.

Verizon IT Network Organization is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to play a pivotal role in our migration to an external SSE cloud environment. As a key member of our Network and System Experts team, you will design, implement, and maintain a cloud-based network security solution that ensures secure access and data protection for our users and applications. This role demands a deep understanding of network security principles and hands-on experience with SSE technologies such as SWG, ZTNA, and CASB.

This position will spearhead the designing, implementing, and maintaining of a robust cloud-based network security solution, incorporating industry best practices and aligning with Verizon's security standards.

  • Implementing and managing Zero Trust Network Access policies within the SSE environment to ensure granular access control and minimize attack surfaces.
  • Deploying and maintaining critical security protocols, including IPSEC, AH, ESP, and IKE, to safeguard network traffic and data confidentiality.
  • Proactively identifying and resolving technical issues related to SSE deployments and operations, minimizing service disruptions and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Leveraging cloud-based security technologies, such as CASB and FWaaS, to extend security controls and threat protection to cloud environments.
  • Designing and implementing tailored SSE solutions that address specific security requirements and align with evolving threat landscapes.
  • Configuring and managing SSE platforms, including CASB, FWaaS, and other relevant technologies, to ensure effective security policy enforcement and threat mitigation.
  • Developing and enforcing comprehensive security policies for the SSE framework, ensuring consistent security controls across all locations and users.
  • Continuously monitoring and analyzing security events and alerts, taking swift and decisive action to mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Maintaining and optimizing the SSE infrastructure to achieve peak performance, scalability, and security.
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to gather design requirements, identify automation opportunities, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Interacting with vendor-supplied APIs to facilitate reporting, automation, and streamline operational processes.
  • Adhering to security best practices, including least privilege access, to minimize risk and maintain a strong security posture.

What Were Looking For.

Youll need to have:

  • Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
  • Experience in IT, with a strong focus on network engineering and security.
  • Experience in network engineering (LAN/WAN), with a deep understanding of routing protocols (MPLS, BGP, OSPF) and LAN technologies.
  • Experience with debugging HTTP proxy issues
  • In-depth experience in Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and Software Defined Networking (SDN) such as SD-WAN and SASE/SSE architectures and respective components including CASB, DLP, SWG, FwaaS, VPNaaS

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong Layer 2 / Layer 3 network architectural design and engineering experience including strong hands-on experience in configuring BGP, OSPF, IPSEC, VLANs, NAT, ACLs
  • Proficiency in Python, XML, or YANG scripting languages for automation and configuration management.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues within a large enterprise environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure, delivering accurate results within tight deadlines.
  • Certifications: Professional-level network certification or higher (e.g., CCNP, CCIE).

  • li>Provide technical support to Production, Maintenance, and IT departments, reducing downtime and improving system performance.
  • Develop, design, and update PLC, VFD, and HMI programs using various control automation platforms, including Rockwell, Siemens, and Beijer.
  • Update and maintain National Instruments LabVIEW code for testing applications and equipment.
  • Interface with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, IT, MES, and Production teams to support facility projects.
  • Apply NEC knowledge for planning industrial equipment installations and work with electricians to update documentation.
  • Supply project leaders with capital cost estimates and timelines, and review capital equipment quotations.
  • Lead projects or project steps, solve complex problems, and act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. 
  • li>Manage outside engineering and construction personnel, ensuring all safety, health, environmental, and compliance aspects meet regulations.
  • Integrate equipment into data collection systems and establish network topologies.
  • Support network backup, device patching management, and control system asset inventory.
  • Compile data from connected devices for organizational use and develop standards for control systems hardware and software.
  • Identify and assume additional responsibilities for projects and processes that align with and drive towards Lincoln Electric Company’s 2025 Higher Standard Goals.

Education & Experience Requirements
