The Senior HVAC Systems Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, repair, and performance optimization of complex building HVAC systems and related control technologies at Streamsong Resort. This position requires high technical proficiency with a strong background in Tracer Ensemble systems and Hybrid VRF systems (Trane/Mitsubishi Electric), as well as 5+ years of hands-on HVAC experience in resort, commercial, or industrial settings.

Essential Functions:

Perform maintenance and repairs in specialized areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC. (50%)

Diagnosing & Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with HVAC systems including chillers, VRF systems, package units, and split systems.

Commissioning: Calibrate, and commission HVAC equipment in accordance with safety and brand standards.

Routine & Emergency Maintenance: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, ensuring safe and efficient operation of HVAC and control systems.

Building Management Systems: Utilize Tracer Ensemble platform to monitor, schedule, troubleshoot, and control building ecosystems remotely.

System Optimization & Energy Management: Analyze system performance and recommend energy-efficient strategies across all building assets.

Work Order Management: Create, track, and close maintenance work orders through BMS integration; generate reports and alarms.

Team Collaboration: Coordinate with Engineering team, Facilities, and Operations to ensure HVAC continuity during resort operations.

Customer Service: Professionally interact with internal stakeholders, and vendors regarding HVAC service issues or concerns.

Documentation & Compliance: Accurately record parts usage, maintenance actions, and inspection results for compliance and audit readiness.

Safety Standards: Ensure adherence to OSHA and resort safety procedures at all times.

  • Perform all essential functions of Engineer III. (40%)
  • Clean and maintain all equipment and work areas. (5%)
  • Document all parts used and parts needed to be purchased. (3%)
  • Report any unsafe conditions to the Director of Engineering. (2%)

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: Minimum (5) four years of experience as HVAC mechanic.

Skills and Abilities: Minimum 5 years of progressive HVAC experience in large-scale facilities, preferably in resort/hospitality or commercial buildings.

  • HVAC certification and EPA 608 Universal Certification.
  • Chillers, broilers, pumps, motors, AC/DC systems
  • Strong experience working with:
    • Tracer Ensemble building management system (BMS)
    • Trane/Mitsubishi Electric HVRF Systems (Hybrid Branch Controller technology)
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
  • Ability to lift, climb, kneel, and work in indoor/outdoor conditions, including confined spaces and elevated platforms.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive company vehicles as needed.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Comfortable with digital dashboards, diagnostics software, and energy management analytics.
