ABOUT THE ROLE:

A member of the Access Center team, the Problem Solving Specialist is able to offer problem-solving (also known as "Diversion" or "Rapid Resolution") services, which is a crisis response philosophy and approach focused on supporting youth experiencing a housing crisis to quickly identify and access alternative housing resources outside of the homeless crisis response system. By practicing active listening skills through creative conversations, the Problem Solving Specialist supports the youth in crisis to identify viable temporary or permanent housing resources within their own networks or resources, such as family or friends. In select cases and as a last resort, limited and one-time financial assistance can enhance an individual or family's success in rapidly connecting to alternative temporary or permanent housing.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Utilize culturally-relevant active listening and motivational interviewing skills with participants to identify possible supports in their network that can assist them with temporary or permanent housing outside of the Youth Coordinated Entry System (YCES)
  • Deliver both field- and place-based supportive services, as appropriate, to participants
  • Acquire resources and make successful referrals, including follow-up to ensure the participant successfully accesses and initially retains housing
  • Identify safety or health issues that may need to be considered during identification of housing
  • Provide mediation between households and property owners/family/friends to assist in resolving housing crisis
  • Partner with legal service providers to resolve housing crises
  • Negotiate terms of agreements between participants and host as appropriate (e.g. actively seek employment, attend to medical/mental health/substance abuse issues, complete household chores weekly, etc.)
  • Ensure services are documented (e.g. face to face, phone and collateral contacts) in all relevant databases in a timely and thorough manner
  • Assist in budgeting with participants, and determine what level of minimal assistance is necessary to be successfully housed or have housing crisis resolved
  • Facilitate access to YCES for participants, as appropriate, including the completion of the Initial Triage and Initial Assessment phases of system access and assessment
  • For participants gaining entry into CES, provide a warm handoff to sustained case management services where possible, or provide initial case management for up to 60 days upon the participant gaining CES access
  • Attend trainings and participate in regular technical assistance such as learning collaboratives
  • Other duties as assigned to support the mission of the organization
Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or related field is preferred , but not required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in case management, counseling or related experience is required .
  • 2+ years experience providing direct services to high-risk youth including counseling and advocacy is required .
  • 1+ years' experience working in a drop-in center, access center, or access point is preferred .
  • Knowledge and experience working with co-occurring populations (chronic health conditions, mental health and substance abuse) is preferred .
  • Cultural Humility and Responsiveness.
  • Best practice models including: Housing First, Positive Youth Development, Authentic Youth Engagement, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Trauma-Informed Care, Critical Time Intervention preferred
  • Self-Starter skill set, requiring the ability to develop relationships, build rapport and trust with members, community partners, volunteers, and staff.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including organizational, detail and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to uphold Access Center policy and procedure with members, staff, volunteers, and community partners
  • Ability to work effectively with people of diverse races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and gender identities in a multicultural environment.
  • Works cooperatively with individuals, groups and organizations with diverse mission, composition, function, capacity and geographic location.
  • Understanding of homeless services including CES and HMIS database.
  • Strong understanding of LA County foster care and juvenile justice systems, including foster care placement options, participant rights and eligibility, and discharge planning processes preferred.
  • Strong belief in growth mindset, self-determination, and psychological resilience.
  • Must have valid CA Driver's License, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Changes in the environment, such as the office or outdoors.
  • Physical effort/lifting, such as sedentary- up to 15-20 pounds at times.

+ Own and execute governance and assessment processes to monitor the maturity and effectiveness of problem-solving practices.

+ Coach and mentor global personnel, partnering with site leaders to sustain local implementation and cultural adoption.

**Basic Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
+ 15+ years of relevant experience in a regulated industry (preference for pharmaceutical experience)

$142,500 - $253,000

**Responsibilities**
Product Engineering & Memory group at Advanced Technology Development (ATD) is looking for Failure Analysis Technician to join FA & CA team. This role involves hands-on wafer level failure analysis to find a root cause of failures found during ATD development activities.
**The main responsibilities include:**
+ Hands-on Operation of SEM and/or Dual-Beam FIB to have x-sectional analysis.
+ Running Ion Milling Tool to make a large area x-section.
+ Mechanical polishing/Delayering of wafer or package samples.
+ Chemical etching/handling with a proper PPE.
+ Assisting FA engineers with pre-handling FA samples.
+ Taking Optical Images of samples.

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Manager 2 - Structural Analysis Engineering . This leadership position will be located in Clearfield, UT and report to the Senior Engineering Manager for AeroStructures.

In this leadership role, you will act as an individual contributor and lead an Engineering Team supporting production and new design releases. Our team works with cutting edge exotic materials and novel products to innovate within our mission, working across the facility supporting large composite structures. Responsibilities include :

  • Serve in dual capacities as technical individual contributor as well as functional manager for Structural Analysis Engineering Team of approximately 6-10 engineers

  • Understanding of the requirements and methods of analyzing composite structures to determine structural viability that leads to certification

  • Perform structural analysis including static, dynamics, stability, and damage tolerance analysis.

  • Build Finite Element Models (FEMs) using CAD geometry, meshing, and running solutions

  • Able to manipulate large scale finite element models

  • Document structural analysis methods and implementation using calculation aids and propose new methods depending on the needs of the project

  • Compute margins using appropriate analysis methods

  • Able to support material review board (MRB) and nonconformance to ensure we have sound structural substantiation

  • Solid understanding and background in loads development, preliminary and detailed design, static analysis, FEM, D&DT, fatigue, bolted and bonded interfaces, repair, structural test, and in-service mods, repairs and extensions.

  • Lead root cause and corrective action requirement analysis

  • Manage execution of the program requirements to technical, cost and schedule objectives

  • Provide challenging and stretching tasks and assignments to key talent in the organization

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field and 9 years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree in a relevant STEM field and 7 years of relevant experience

  • Experience with finite element modeling

  • Experience in performing static, dynamic, fatigue, damage tolerance analysis of both composites and metallic materials

  • A solid understanding of loads development and analysis methods and the ability to provide recommendation on appropriate loads to use by other engineering teams

  • Experience in writing technical reports and presenting data in a clear and concise manner

  • Experience with structural analysis methods and implementation using calculation aids and proposing new analysis methods

  • Must have an Active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment. This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing, or Chemical Engineering

  • Current, active DoD Secret Security Clearance

  • Prior leadership experience in a managerial, lead, or supervisory capacity

  • Experience in composite materials testing methods, procedures, failure modes, environmental effects, and bonded composite joints

  • Experience with any of the following software packages: Siemens NX, AFGROW, ANSYS Abaqus CAE, Femap, Nastran, Matlab, Visual Basic

  • Experience with aircraft certification for both military and commercial airplanes

  • Metallic and Composite structural analysis methods development

  • A solid understanding of loads development used for structural analysis

  • Knowledge of composite materials and manufacturing

  • Experience in test planning, test support, and data reduction

  • Experience supporting MRB

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
