**Job Description**
Olsson's Site Design team provides design services for retail, commercial, mixed-use, and residential land development projects, along with industrial, sports, schools, and other site development types. As a summer 2026 civil engineering student intern, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career. You'll be part of our team, working for our clients on projects with our experienced staff and engineers. You'll assist with creating construction plans for sites that can include site layout, grading, stormwater, and utilities in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. You may also perform research, write technical reports, and travel to job sites.

**Job Description**
As a summer 2026 engineering student intern with our Industrial Environmental team, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career. You will work closely with other team members and engineers on client projects related to mine reclamation, industrial water and wastewater treatment, and solid waste management facilities. You'll provide project design utilizing AutoCAD, assist with performing technical analysis, prepare construction documents, perform research, and write technical reports. Depending on the projects, you may also have the opportunity to travel to job sites for field observation.

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Leader to provide expert technical guidance and oversight of the electrical engineering group. This role involves managing an industrial engineering team to deliver a variety of industrial design projects for the chemical, power, utilities, and manufacturing industries. Key Responsibilities:

**Overview**
The Intern is a student with an interest in mechanical installations for hospitals, hotels and institutional facilities, who works during the internship to further education and experience.
**Responsibilities**
+ Creates a master checklist of expectations and goals to use as a guide throughout the internship and then used as an evaluation at completion.
+ Assists the departments and team with all aspects of the projects and estimating or business operations.
+ Participates in special tasks/projects and work with team and various resources to complete.
+ Assists by collecting information, creating and updating files, documents, spreadsheets, databases, reports and schedules.
+ Prepares reports and presentations as needed.
+ Attends departmental and jobsite meetings.

- Conducts site inspections to validate and record infrastructure damage to include: taking photographs, making site sketches, and writing detailed damage descriptions. Develops and reviews scopes of work and cost estimates, including code and standard requirements.
