Epic Games is seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to join this team. This person should be a gaming industry veteran with strong hands-on experience to join our engineering team. As a part of the team, you will be representing and leading one of our main games engineering groups, helping it to grow, improve, plan, and prioritize work. At the same time, you will become a part of the leadership group, where you will set and plan product vision, actively participate in decision-making, and message the big picture across multiple groups. In this role, you will
  • Lead a team of engineers, to whom you will be communicating vision, setting priorities, and mentoring
  • Regularly both manage and mentor engineering leads and individual contributors
  • Work hands-on with engineering groups across different departments, brainstorming, architectural solutions, helping in decision making, and similar
  • Work closely with the leadership group, building and shaping product vision

What we're looking for

What You'll Do

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to direct the technical approach and execution for a main internal project in the Fortnite ecosystem. They will be responsible for driving several engineering teams to be capable of meeting any technical challenge that may arise, curating the staffing levels across the various engineering specializations, providing critical technical insight and feedback, and supporting project planning from the engineering perspective. In this role, you will

The Team

We are seeking an Engineering Supervisor to join American Tower's U.S. Tower division's Engineering team. The Engineering team maintains the safety and longevity of the Company's towers and ensures a high level of compliance with industry standards. Day to day you will lead a team of Engineers and Designers tasked with meeting production and quality goals. As an Engineering Supervisor, you will partner cross-functionally to minimize workflow problems or changes and provide guidance on technical matters affecting the team.

Responsibilities

What You Can Offer Us
  • Review requests for engineering services work to determine the required type. Complete production work alongside staff.
  • For Structural Engineering:
    • Review tower structures, mounts, and foundations of tenant configurations to perform or supervise analyses of projects using hand calculations, tower analysis software, and other accepted methods. Generate required engineering reports.
    • Perform or supervise the design of modifications and review of drawings of projects including tower reinforcement, mount reinforcement, extensions, and foundations. Work with the Design team's staff to resolve discrepancies.
    • Perform and supervise the review of tower inspections and quality control review of analyses.
  • For Civil Engineering:
    • Perform detailed QA/QC of multiple customer collocation and amendment construction drawings.
    • Lead projects consisting of steel design, electrical or civil engineering; create unique detailings and designs.
    • Perform and supervise runoff calculations for basins, culverts, and bridges. Review storm water management best practices and design parameters for municipal approval and construction.
    • Perform and supervise the design and calculations of new road designs, large stream crossings, grading, and slope stability. Generate required engineering reports.
    • Perform structural calculations and designs for structural platforms, retaining walls, and foundations for shelters and small equipment.
  • Address jurisdictional inquires and write letters of low to unique complexity.
  • Ensure customer and sales system data is current while adhering to applicable quality control procedures.
  • As an Engineering Supervisor, you are responsible for the recruitment, performance management, and career development of Engineers and/or Designers. You'll also be expected to cultivate a collaborative team dynamic that enables us to meet our business objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

What You Need To Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Engineer in training or Engineering Intern certification required.
  • Professional Engineer license required.
  • Required experience must include at least one of the following: 5 years of communication tower design and analysis or civil engineering, 7 years of construction or field engineering of steel structures, or 7 years of land development or structural engineering.
  • Approximately 10% travel may be required in support of the position's responsibilities.
  • Strong organization, planning, and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for self and team to meet requirements and deadlines.
  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
  • Strong leadership skills; ability to drive and motivate team to achieve results.

**The Team**
We are seeking an Engineering Supervisor to join American Tower's U.S. Tower division's Engineering team. The Engineering team maintains the safety and longevity of the Company's towers and ensures a high level of compliance with industry standards. Day to day you will lead a team of Engineers and Designers tasked with meeting production and quality goals. As an Engineering Supervisor, you will partner cross-functionally to minimize workflow problems or changes and provide guidance on technical matters affecting the team.
**What You Need To Succeed**
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
+ Engineer in training or Engineering Intern certification required.
+ Professional Engineer license required.
+ Required experience must include at least one of the following: 5 years of communication tower design and analysis or civil engineering, 7 years of construction or field engineering of steel structures, or 7 years of land development or structural engineering.
+ Approximately 10% travel may be required in support of the position's responsibilities.

+ Review requests for engineering services work to determine the required type. Complete production work alongside staff.
+ For Structural Engineering:
+ Review tower structures, mounts, and foundations of tenant configurations to perform or supervise analyses of projects using hand calculations, tower analysis software, and other accepted methods. Generate required engineering reports.
+ Perform or supervise the design of modifications and review of drawings of projects including tower reinforcement, mount reinforcement, extensions, and foundations. Work with the Design team's staff to resolve discrepancies.
+ Perform and supervise the review of tower inspections and quality control review of analyses.
+ For Civil Engineering:
+ Perform detailed QA/QC of multiple customer collocation and amendment construction drawings.
+ Lead projects consisting of steel design, electrical or civil engineering; create unique detailings and designs.
+ Perform and supervise runoff calculations for basins, culverts, and bridges. Review storm water management best practices and design parameters for municipal approval and construction.
+ Perform and supervise the design and calculations of new road designs, large stream crossings, grading, and slope stability. Generate required engineering reports.
+ Perform structural calculations and designs for structural platforms, retaining walls, and foundations for shelters and small equipment.
+ Address jurisdictional inquires and write letters of low to unique complexity.
+ Ensure customer and sales system data is current while adhering to applicable quality control procedures.
+ As an Engineering Supervisor, you are responsible for the recruitment, performance management, and career development of Engineers and/or Designers. You'll also be expected to cultivate a collaborative team dynamic that enables us to meet our business objectives.
+ Other duties as assigned.
