This position reports to the Lead Engineer and is part of the Machine Design Group located in Timonium, MD and will be an on-site role.
This is a first shift position with the hours being 7am-3:30pm, Mon-Fri.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Assemble precision components and machinery. Work with R&D and Manufacturing Engineering Product Group to fix current and transition new equipment into production.
+ Provide technical support to manufacturing to find the root causes of problems and recommend or perform corrective actions involving machine improvements.
+ Investigate, develop and test ideas to working prototype product stage. Set up and performance of laboratory tests/experiments and reporting of conclusions and recommendations. Maintain accurate, well organized logs during experiments and testing to be included in final test reports
The essential requirements of the job include
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent, Bachelor's / associate degree in an Engineering discipline (preferred) with Five (5) years of experience working in an engineering / production role within industrial manufacturing environment
+ Familiarity with basic scripting languages such as lua or python, machining of polymers and metals, 3D printing (preferred)
+ Experience in the fitting, assembly, operation and troubleshooting of precision machinery (preferred), which includes
