Responsibilities

• Build prototype equipment and test refrigeration systems. MUST have refrigeration experience.

• Design, build, and maintain life cycle test stands.

• Conduct agency approval testing for new and revised equipment.

• Create engineering laboratory reports documenting setup, procedure, and results.

• Participate in design engineering activities from concept design to end-of-life analysis.

• Build proof of concept breadboards at system and unit levels from sketches, blueprints, and dialogue requested by engineers.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in mechanical and electrical engineering principles.

• Ability to create and interpret mechanical engineering drawings.

• Ability to create and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.

• Basic computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).

• Understanding of safety requirements while around electrical products up to 120V.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.

Growing food manufacturing organization is seeking a Engineering Manager who will need to be able to step into this fast-paced role and immediately provide direction and leadership.

Your main focus will be to ensure all engineering projects and maintenance objectives are accomplished in accordance with the operation plans.

Your main goal as the Engineering Manager is to increase production abilities by maximizing plant engineering / maintenance skillsets & talent in collaboration with the maintenance group.

You will need experience in a food, beverage, or aseptic manufacturing facility, capital budget & project management experience. Must have managed a team for at least 2 years.

As the Engineering Manager, your major responsibilities will be:

• Coordinate the maintenance and engineering groups to maximize production
• Review and analyze production, quality, and maintenance procedures & processes to determine causes of product non-conformity & other production problems and provide solutions
• Develop and implement procedures to improve the quality of the products by eliminating mechanical operating problems
• Manage capital and expense projects to meet scope, budget and timeline as defined
• Provide directions to engineering and maintenance personnel to modify machines and equipment to improve production
• Plan and schedule equipment maintenance & repairs, outages to support production schedule.

Minimum requirements for this Engineering Manager position:

• Bachelors degree in an Engineering field required
• At least 6 years experience in engineering in a food/beverage manufacturing plant
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience of maintenance personnel is required
• Experience managing budgets and capital projects
• High Speed Manufacturing preferred.

• Provide training to Production, Maintenance, and Validations on operation and systems.
• This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.
• Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.
